Having not watched this since the very early 2000s I couldn't believe how well this held up. Everything just seemed so authentic even through the eyes of seeing so many found footage films. I'm not sure if it's a controversial opinion or not but I fell like Blair witch is still the greatest found footage video ever made.

I remember seeing this years ago on a "dodgy" vhs tape, and thought it was so-so. People salivated over the "lost footage" hype, which of course, wasn't anything new, as it had already been done 20 years earlier, by a certain Mr. Deodato.

For most people, this was the first found footage they'd ever seen. Cannibal Holocaust isn't exactly mainstream.

@@pizowell Totally agree. I'm just saying that, I felt "Blair" didn't totally live up to all the hype it got. But kudos to the guys behind the scenes (promotion/hype etc.), it definitely garnered the mainstream audience's attention. I also saw "The Erotic Witch Project", which I personally found a little bit more uhhh... interesting?🤭

@@NotMorganFreeman. I agree... it's a little bit on the morbid/yawn side. But I don't think Deodato was hoping to win an Oscar for his efforts, but was aiming for a particular viewing public, and on that score, he got the results he was probably looking for, what with the huge ban the film received, and the films notoriety that it still retains today.

This one is region B locked. I wasn't aware that the Imprint was all region.

I remember walking into the theater wearing my jnco pants with my chain wallet thinking to myself, how is this legal to show in theaters. I remember the discussion we had on the ride home and my heart was heavy for the “victims”. As we got home I turned on the tv to watch a late night show and who comes out as a guest?!?! The freaking actors. My mind was blown away because I thought it was real! I was pissed and relived all at the same time. I was fooled! Great times

I saw the movie a lot of years after it came out do I was not misled by the hype. Even at that time I had seen direct-to-video movies that were a lot better. But what this movie had was an awesome publicity at the beginning of the internet no less. But I didn't find it that great as other horror fans that grew up with it. Just a heads up, Second Sight has issued a disk replacement program because something is wrong with the soundtrack on the theatrical version. Won’t be getting a replacement until January unfortunately. I’m holding off to watch it until I get the replacement.

The audio issue only affects the theatrical cut.

The blair witch games volume 1 2 and 3 are good i hear and it was only released on PC i am surprised it's not released on consoles or handholds like the switch which is a real shame too

Dude if you don't know you have to send them an email to get a replacement disc. There's a problem with the theatrical cut. I did the process and it's a chaos, I don't even know if they are gonna send me the disc 100%. No confirmation at all.

If you have emailed us with either your 5 digit Second Sight order number and address, or your proof of purchase and address if purchased elsewhere, you do not need to do anything else. Please take this as confirmation we have received your email." So... is this a good sign? The problem is that this message DOESN'T CONFIRM ANYTHING. So I don't know 100% if my replacement disc is getting shipped in January, it is supposed to be alright in my case, but it's not a certain confirmation.
