We owe a big thanks to K-SHE for all the great memories and gold nuggets like this. Thank you K-SHE!!!! You're about the only radio station I listen to anymore.

K-SHE , always the best at finding rare gold like this and still plays to this day. Heard this on K-SHE yesterday afternoon. Other rare greats still played on this station: Mama's Pride, Blue mist : Missouri , Move'n on.

I've read some recent comments about this one and damn, we've been so blessed to have Kshe 95 to play some unheard of tunes. So many people haven't heard this one.

In 1979 my girlfriend and I moved from Maine to Tampa, Florida where we listened to and enjoyed 98 Rock. One evening the DJ said "we're going to play this new southern rock band - The Blend!" I immediately jumped into my 1972 Chrysler Newport with my 108 WBLM bumper stickers proudly displayed and headed to the station where I showed my Blend Album to the DJ and stated that these guys are from the Northeast, not the south. I had seen them open up for ZZ Top at the Cumberland County Civic Center March 3, 1977 - it was my first concert (1st one for the Civic Center too) and still have my ticket stub some 40+ years later. Ya, they rocked. "Wild Bill" has seen many shows since that night!

Louis Armstrong (New Orleans), Robert Johnson, BB King, Elvis (Mississippi), Blues, R& B was from the South. Just because they ended up in Motown doesn't mean they were not Southern transplants. Blue Grass and Country were not from New England. Take you music theory and refute my words Little Shit Smith.

I got some from there too...Alot of my older stuff i got from this online cd store ..before they went out of biz I got alot of cds for a dollar each..The cds would scratch so easily..poor quality disks.. Did preserve some of it though..

They actually changed that winning entry to White Mountain National Blend, then shortened it to The Blend May Jimmy Drown and Donnie Pomber RIP.
