Because it's straight from scripture which is read by all men. Numbers 6:24. I always say Gospel Songs should be rooted in the word of God and they'll unify his people because the word and his Spirit is what we have in common but our experiences will always be different. But some gospel songs now are more rooted in melodies and voice gymnastics leaving out the substance of the spirit which is the word. When I was at my lowest and couldn’t even pray for myself, some stranger set up his loudspeaker on the corner of our street.
