I recently noticed some comments re: The Bleu Forest; the band I named and created. For those who are interested, It's Psychedelic Baby Magazine, November 2016 free online interview will explain exactly what this band was and how and why I created it. There were only 4 members on the contract. The keyboard player I was trying out was only a sideman, like the horn players and strings brought into the sessions, he was not a contacted player. We were required to sign this contract,as well as our parents"8" adults, before we could go into the studio to record. You see, even though I was the writer and arranger, I could not sign by myself, because I was a teenager! When I started the group; Jack had just turned "15" , Ed was "16", and Gary and I were both "17" ! The two sidemen, Ron and Larry were never on the contract, and neither were their folks! It came to my attention that Ron was was claiming authorship of music he hadn't written! The actual music written by The Bleu Forest was, "Words In My Mind", a great little early Metal song by Jack. I wrote and arranged the rest, and Jimmie Haskell did orchestration. I still have the complete recordings

Gary is my cousin. Our mothers were twins. My son became lead guitarist for Flannelette in Australia but sadly was killed almost 10 years ago. He looked so much like Gary, it was spooky.

My statement is about the second to last incarnation of The Bleu Forest. Jack had quit about two years after this and we had a drummer named Randy until we broke up. I had never played with Michael and I had only met him once. That's a story for another day! Red lights flashing! The version presented here is from my very deteriorated remixed tapes and was recorded with Gary, Ron, Ed, Jack, and Larry (me). You can also hear some mystery singer singing a background part on the song KNOCK KNOCK. I don't think I ever knew what his name was. He was just somebody that was in the studio that day. Thanks LWW

Well actually, Gary Heuer is alive and living in Ojai California. I, Larry Wiseman am alive and living in West Palm Beach Florida. We are not sure whether or not Ron Barkley is still alive. As far as I know, Ed Steel is the only member that is deceased. The so called lost tapes were in my closet here in Florida. I remixed them the best I could and sent them to Caviness and he released them. And that's the rest of the story!

Its still a very good album ! I'm a true fan of psychedelic music from the 1960's , and , some of the very best , and original music comes from quite obscure artists . The Index are another example . Possibly , some might include the excellent Peacepipe . This is a great albm - of its time , but also has its own vibe , and doesn't - in my opinion - rely too heavily on other bands sounds .

USA produced such a vast variety of garage bands, that were highly influenced by major known bands of the time like Jefferson Airplane, Jimi Hendrix & The Experience and The Grateful Dead. Every little town in the US has been over-flooded with teenagers full of enthusiasm and ideas reflecting the electrifying times, when everything suddenly seemed to be possible. One of the better local bands, that came and went with the '60s fading into plastic '70s were Ventura County’ Bleu Forest. So far only a handful of people heard these 1968 unreleased recordings, which were hidden in Caviness (only surviving member) basement and let me say this: What we have here is a lost psych-garage classic. A crossover between groovy melodies of Moby Grape mixed with Steppenwolf heaviness psychedelicbaby.blogspot.si, goldenpavilion.org
