They just don't make people like Peter Cushing any more. I grew up with him and Christopher Lee, watching everything they did, staying up and watching the double features and scaring myself. I wish people still behaved with so much class.

The name could be better. Terror of the Were-Moth or some such. I like the Were creatures. Weresharks could transform in water but they they can also breath underwater in human form. I'd say all Were people should keep half the strength of their transformative form.

It's so easy to see the change in Peter Cushingin the films he made before and after his wife died. Since this film was made when his wife was still alive, it's clear to see that he was quite relaxed, but after she died, his heartbreak was so obvious in his appearance and the way he carried himself.

Yes, the change was never more so than when Peter made 'The Ghoul' when in one scene with Veronica Carlson, his wife's photo can be clearly seen, and you could see the tears in his eyes! It is said that they had to abandon shooting after this scene, because he was so overcome with grief!

I love the pre-title sequence set in Central Africa, where the explorer is searching for the revolting giant moth pupae. I think it was actually filmed on the Thames up from Teddington, interspersed with animal clips from nature documentaries and with a jungle sound track. No matter - it's still atmospheric and a great intro to the subject of the film!

I've always wondered if Roger Corman's earlier "The Wasp Woman" might have inspired the makers of this fun, crazy flick. Sure, it's pure 100% hokum, but who cares ?! Besides, the film has its definite merits--genuine exteriors and impressive sets, authentic costumes, and good lighting to name a few. Don't be hypercritical, just sit back and enjoy !

A little factoid. Wanda Ventham, the moth/woman, is the mother of the actor Benedict Cumberbatch, he of 'Sherlock' fame. And Peter Cushing, along with Christopher Lee, held us enthralled.

I really like these films from an earlier era. Well crafted scripts, excellent actors and actresses and superb production values. No swearing either, which is something that really sets these masterpieces aside from what we are 'fed' on today's conveyor belt of bubble gum for the mind. Obviously some will ridicule my thoughts, but even the worst scripts from yesteryear stand well up against most more modern productions.

Nicely old-fashioned monster flick. Beautifully shot (not that hellish digi look that pollutes everything), cozy Very English setting, and yes, Cushing is very good.

It takes time to get going but really picks up, another Peter Cushing gem, also great from Glynn Edwards as the Police Sergeant . Another brilliant Tony Tensor production. Many thanks for your upload

Peter cushing said this was his least favourite Hammer Film he appeared in, he said it was embarrasing. But I Love it, and Peter is as Good as ever imho

Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Vincent Price, were the Prince's of Horror. The King was Boris Karlof.
