🏹 In the chaos of the war against Troy, the gods weave intricate plots and heroes are often called to perform heroic deeds. But what happens when deception becomes the means to a glorious end? Find out with me as we explore the wiles of Odysseus and the troubled fate of Philoctetes.
🔮 Calchas, Agamemnon's soothsayer, predicts the fate of the Greeks: "the blood of Achilles" is necessary for the fall of Troy. The message is clear: Agamemnon must recruit Achilles' son, Pyrrhus, also known as Neoptolemus.
🏝️ Odysseus and his companions leave to recruit the young Pyrrhus and also recover Heracles' bow, one of the further keys to the victory over Troy. But the journey is full of dangers, including the desolate island of Lemnos, where the wounded and embittered Philoctetes lives.
🏹 Philoctetes, guardian of Heracles' bow, is about to be betrayed for a second time: first he was abandoned on this island by his companions and now he is about to be robbed of his weapons. But fate has a crucial role in store for him in the capture of Troy...
🤝 While Odysseus plots deceptions, Neoptolemus finds himself torn between duty and compassion. As time passes, Philoctetes and Neoptolemus find an unexpected understanding, perhaps not entirely appreciated by the Greeks...

Bellissimo episodio. Sul figlio di Achille sapevo una versione (ora non ricordo di quale autore) dove Teti già sapendo in anticipo della sorte di Achille, già da qualche anno prima aveva mandato Achille da re Licomede dove si innamora di Deidamia e quindi quando Achille parte per Troia Pirro aveva già 4 anni. Quindi quando Pirro va a Troia ha circa 13/14 anni.
