My guess is after the "robots" have completed their mission or their ammunition etc., they are programmed to turn off. If they were allowed to continue to operate, it would be a risk for Russian soldiers as they bring up the lines. Either this or they are not autonomous and just RC. the pitch of the gun to me indicates either it is a grenade launcher, or is in a "safe" condition, and the robot is deactivated. this would be a very useful feature if soldiers are to know if the robot is in attack mode or not.
