Loving this album!!! I saw them in 2012 & didn't even know they had a new album out last year until this summer right after I found out that they had broken up :( I'm glad I saw them when I did *sigh*

Aww, thanks! The funny thing is I saw them at a time when I didn't know who they were. I had only read a little summary of what their music was like, but hadn't heard any songs yet. I caught their show at Austin Psych Fest in 2012 & was hooked immediately. It'd be nice if they had new music coming out... I really love last year's album.

dang that's so cool how you sorta like discovered them by accident in a way, i love it. I had a chance to see them here in LA but since they were opening for brian jonestown massacre the tickets were INSANELY high.. i was only interested in seeing Blue angel lounge!.. and i lost my one and only shot ): i'll pray for them to make a comeback someday... p.s. i love your profile picture it made me laugh, i could picture her talking smack to her mom like she always does.. i freaking love south park lol

Haha@ Henrietta!! Yah, JTM were playing the same festival with BAL. I saw JTM, but I don't really know their music well. I was pleasantly surprised with how much I was drawn to Blue Angel Lounge. They remind me of The Chameleons & some other 80s post-punk bands. I've put on their Sea of Trees album because of this discussion... it's sooo good :)

Really nice The Blue Angel Lounge are trying something new! At first listen I was a bit surprised and had a strange feeling about the new sound but when you listen closer it actually fits them very well. It's more of a classic, natural sound now than before with the piano, acoustic guitar and more focused choir voices. I bet those who have disliked this song and music video are the ones who can't accept when a favourite band of theirs try something a little unexpected.
