His lung collapsed apparently, it came from acumpture treatment, so no arm injuries which is good.

@@vonhines3574 Still very serious though as to how that affects his overall health. Serious enough to have him drop 9 draft places. This FO should not be risking anything anymore. No pick is a sure thing but a health issue is a sure problem.

@richheardthis8018 he is an overslot guy, meaning they will have to pay more than the expected value of the draft pick, I am assuming that aspect drove teams away from him as well. Tampa and Milwaukee who were ahead of the blue jays, drafted guys that were ranked way lower because they were underslot guys.

He was ranked as the 3rd best college arm in the draft and its a consensus steal among most baseball writers. AA and the braves would not be out done by selectin the best pitcher out of high school with their 24th pick. Many think these were the 2 biggest steals in the 1st round.

Every teams scouting department is different and looks for other things in a draft pick. Players rising and falling in a draft is a common thing.

I'm not high on anyone til I see how they adjust to the league's adjustments. Seen too many Jays (Manoah, Vlad, Davis Schneider) have a big year, the league adjusts to them and they can't counter-adjust. Youre gonna see the same with Horowitz, he'll finish 2025 with a .250 batting average.

Sure but let Atkins make trades for prospects because Atkins, his analytics and his scouting are so good at player evaluations. Atkins will trade any assets the Jays have for another teams throw aways like Brandon Drury or Derek Fisher. Atkins needs to go asap or te Jays will continue their downslide in talent

And the job mark &Ross hasn't been bad .Take an old team ,end of 2017 and within two years playoffs .Ross has done a better job them AA did . They do deals every year and the farm system is at 21 and everybody's fan favorite AA from Atlanta has a farm system at 27 so Alex is drafting as well has he did in Toronto ( bad) .Mark isn't going anywhere until he wants to leave. Because the next president will say I don't need a big payroll . Sound like J.P Ricciardi all over again.

Amazing draft pick. Not quite as good as Rick E. Tiedeman, Nate B. Pearson, or Alec Manoah, but we will see if he ever sees the MLB. There is a 15-17% chance that he has more than 100 innings in the MLB. Like all draft picks, it is a crap shoot.

If the Jays are going to do this then lets go all in on a trade. BLOCK BUSTER that would shake the whole sport and be remembered for a long time. The Mariners are the only team to target for this type of trade in my opinion. This sounds crazy but if you did this you are the a contender for 5 years with the other trades yo make this year focused on pitching prospects and international signing money. I put in Bassitt as this give the Mariners a 2 year window. There would be a shit load of BC people going to watch these games and buying merchandise.
