Experiencing the dreaded Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) can be frustrating, but fear not! Let’s troubleshoot it together. Here are some steps you can take (provided by Miscrosoft):
Simply restart your computer to resolve the issue, if not working follow the steps below.
Check Error and QR Codes: When the BSOD occurs, note any error codes or messages displayed. These can provide clues about the underlying issue.
Query BSOD Error Codes: Use online resources to look up the specific error codes. Microsoft provides a lookup URL for stopcodes, where you can enter the numeric code to find more information.
Check the Windows 11 Memory Dump: Windows creates memory dump files when a stop error occurs. Analyzing these dumps can reveal the cause of the BSOD.
Boot Windows in Safe Mode: Restart your PC and boot into Safe Mode. This helps identify whether third-party software or drivers are causing the issue.
Use System Restore: If you recently installed software or made changes, consider using System Restore to revert to a previous stable state.
Reset Your PC: As a last resort, you can reset your PC to its default settings. Be sure to back up your important files before doing this.
Remember, BSODs can have various causes, such as hardware failures, incompatible software, or outdated drivers. Take a systematic approach to pinpoint the issue and resolve it.
