I personally like to put a small stash inside of the legacy shelters. People see they're empty and won't bother raiding it and it provides a little bit of safety from ESP users for your stash (not perfect but still something)
@kcmo28 ай бұрын
That’s actually a good strat
@Auguur8 ай бұрын
Have you noticed that small stashes were broken again since this last wipe? I put 2 in a legacy shelter and they were gone the next day. I put another down, and within 5 mins it despawned and the loot popped up on the ground. I haven't used them since, so I don't know if it was re-patched. There were a few old bugs that resurfaced this wipe. remember getting killed on a horse going through doorway? It's back, and the memory leak reared it's ugly head also but it seems random.
@rickrude3798 ай бұрын
Haven't dug through the change log/tested it and didn't hear about the legacy shelter, but I have seen multiple people talk about stashes despawning if there are any building peices above it. Not just the foundation trick to bring it up but floor tiles also it has to be "outside".
@kshaku8 ай бұрын
@@Auguur Oh thats what happened! I put a stash inside a legacy shelter, came back later and there was no stash inside. I assumed someone triggered it from the outside. But no. Its a bug it seems.

don’t start rust, watch what it does to your brain, look at the countless hours you’ll pour in and the things you’ll begin to neglect for the pleasure and dopamine you receive in your hyper realistic other life, watch the rinse and repeat cycles as you die and loot and die and loot and do it all over again countless times, save your soul if you don’t have the willpower to manage yourself and moderate your gameplay.
@nocantry6 ай бұрын
Great advice, especially for people who have addictive tendencies. I force myself to hop off after a day cycle or two because all of my free time would be wasted if I didn't set a limit. I'm not cracked at the game as a result, but the tradeoff is that I still have tons of fun whenever I do hop on, I spend more time taking care of myself and my responsibilities, and my gf is much happier nowadays.

There are so many toxic A-holes that play this game simply to torment other players by pulling bot moves like camping spawn areas with crossbows that some servers are just not playable. For that reason, I would recommend PVE servers for new players, not to worry, there are plenty of hazards to keep you frustrated while you learn everything you need to learn in order to play on PVP servers without it being a complete fail. Solo playing is a tough life, it is good to play with a partner who knows the ropes. There is so much to learn and do, I can't imagine ever getting tired of this game. Hope you've been enjoy yourself and meeting some cool people, I know I have.

If you have all the materials for a starter, you can throw down the shell with a door/lock and put the half wall, square shelf, and then the outer shelf through the wall as you can above to block rockets etc. Then just break the half wall, replace with a triangle and place TC for correct placement every time

One thing to note especially during wipeday, dont do anything when you spawn. Full sprint directly to where you want to go, if you find a horse and youre one of the first people on the server, you can literally get a 2 hour head start by snatching greencard and getting some crates at inland monuments quickly. Horse on wipeday is the most op asset.
@PsychoMachado6 ай бұрын
Quick tip: When creating an airlock, put the second door on the right side (the one that opens to outside the base). That way, the inside door blocks the doorframe for the outside door, and they can't get closer to your base and grab your loot

Place bags on the way, but I don’t see a hemp plant in sight 😢. Any tips to getting enough bags to just litter across the map as I go?
@williambensman2 ай бұрын
Thats the reality of it. On wipe day, everyone grabs up all the hemp plants for sleeping bags and everything else. Most of them dont replant them to prevent grubs from progressing. It is highly effective. You just gotta be there for wipe or you have very little chance.

Get one more body, and get a bone club. It's faster than the rock, and gathers more, and will even take down a few barrels. Get a few more for armor and arrows. Continue down the beach to water, which heals you to 60. One bota bag, which costs just ten cloth, is the same as ten bandages. Save your valuable cloth. Ignore barrels until you have a base down. There are no weapons or tools in them, except a paddle.
