I used to work with the volume control but note I just use my fingers to get the expression. I set the audio interface to the loudest level before the overload light activates. That’s all 🙂

Enjoy! The connectivity should not be much of s stumbling block. The simplest thing might be an irig from 1K Media. It avoids a separate usb hub and should work with anything. I might get one soon. Much lighter. I would get one from your local store and let them connect it all for you 🙂

You must have been so excited to discover how to shift audio and midi between intervals within a blues key...makes on the fly composition in realtime across multiple instruments simultaneously possible with a single musician and some nimble footwork...perfect for blues improv...Loopy Pro is endless and frankly puts all pedals to shame. The ipad is quickly developing into the single most important and versatile instrument. I'm thinking of parting with my Roland HPD 20 for finances..i also had a wavedrum. I'd highly recommend the Roland if you can find one reasonably priced online...which can be controlled via pedals...think it would be a valuable addition to your set for percussive elements and authentic drum replicas. 41:16 The option of changing key. That is awesome! I tried out a HeadRush LooperBoard briefly and it was cool that you could do that. Makes setting up a simple I-IV-V blues groove really quick when you don't have to do the whole 12 bars to get the IV & V parts. What happens if you go to the ii or ii or iv? I don't imagine it has the processing smarts to change to minor, does it?

What is the issue you were having with syncing in Synth One bpm? It seems to work fine for me with Ableton Link set up... You so have to enable this in the sync settings in Loopy as well. Maybe there's something else you were trying to do that I didn't catch on the video. Another thing that maybe you haven't seen is that you can switch the button behavior for muting plug ins now so they behave like you want (lighting up when they are on instead of off). You get to that option using the edit button function, clicking on the action and then selecting "invert value" Hope this helps clean up your workspace a bit and make it more intuitive! I'm still fairly new with Loopy, but I'm LOVING IT! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING THIS! You are very good at what you do and it's very inspiring! I'm still watching this, but just wanted to try to help on those specifics. Might have more to add shortly 😊

Brilliant, I will find the invert value! The strange thing with synth one is that it receives the synch speed ok but I have to change the bpm in synth one for it to update. And I can’t find a way to automatically adjust the note start. I have to try and play it exactly on time. Thanks again and enjoy the app. You seem more switched on than me! 🙂🙏🏼

Just learned more recently and I think it was a more recent addition to the app. I've got nowhere near your skill with these things yet, but I'm having fun and being creative in the learning process. I appreciate you sharing how you use these tools and have found most loopy users to be incredibly helpful with each other. Just wanted to return the favor wherever I can! Between you, Inbar, Live Loopers and Max Yar, I've really gotten a great jump start into understanding this incredibly deep app and process. Looping has always been one of my favorite ways to get creative with learning new music and jamming in unique ways. I love seeing what others have come up with and see a long journey ahead! Cheers! I really love the blues and you absolutely have got soul!

@MarkusK. I think I found a way that might work for you for Synth One... Make a button and program it to send a midi note for synth one, whatever note you want to play first in a sequence. It's called "send midi message" at the bottom of the list. Then go back and click the little circle on the left of the button editor and you can sync the send to one bar, so you can press the button whenever and it will send immediately on the start of a new bar (or beat out whatever you prefer). I'm not sure exactly how you're using it, but this seems to be working for me for getting a sequence to time to my drums. When I change the clock in loopy, the sequence follows along how it should. The only time it isn't syncing up is if you pause the main clock in loopy (while the synth is still playing) and then play it again. My only issue still is that sometimes the connection with synth one has to be reset, which I'm still unsure about. Maybe it's a memory thing. Doesn't seem to happen that often... Anyway, hope that helps!

Loopy Pro runs on anything from a standard gen 2 up. The more effects and other apps you use, the more power you need. I am running all that on a 9 gen standard, at half capacity

I use a cheap powered USB hub and I changed the power input so it has a usb plug to power from a 10000 ma power bank. It is enough for the iPad (if charged), the mini keys, the softstep and the 4x4 Steinberg audio interface

If you have a PC (or Mac too probably) you can get the soft step editor and literally configure anything on it to do what you want. You can get it on the download page of the KM site. There's a basic and an advanced one, depending on how much detail you want to get into. The advanced is pretty complex but useful if you really want to experiment. The basic most likely has what you need, as it can choose which kind of control each button is, rename them, change midi notes, and some other basic stuff. The advanced gets after some really cool options, but they take a while to configure. I'm still playing around, but there's a lot of options here. Another cool thing is you can get an expression pedal if that interests you to have more nuance with things like a volume or wah pedal. I got the Nektar one (it does need a headphone adapter to go into the soft step). It really is a cool midi controller, far more capable than most of us will ever touch. The X-Y controls are cool if you like using any effects and get us an insane amount of expression if you put in some time (again something I'm only scratching the surface on so far as loopy itself is such a rabbit hole lol) Cheers.
