Great interview with the greatest guitarist performing at this time. Been lucky enough to see Joe a number of times from a small stage at a music exhibition at the NEC in Birmingham, UK to the Albert Hall and he's always been superb and puts on great shows. He deserves everything he's achieved and long may it continue.

Mike, you should have won Blues Song of The Year in 2016 for "Bad News Is Coming" and Joe should have won album of the year for "Live at The Greek Theatre". You both deserve it. Thanks for a great interview and great music!

Great interview! Joe is a force of nature and it's hard to believe this was 4yrs ago. The Hollywood Bowl show is amazing. How he keeps taking his music in forward motion evolving and expanding floors me. His vocals hit hard now I enjoy his singing as much as his guitar work. Thank you again for this interview. I poke around KZbin looking for fan vids, interviews etc and I'm finding some cool stuff. I'm glad to add this to my playlist. ❤

Mike, this was an amazing conversation with one of my all time favorite guitarists and showmen! Thank you so much for your podcasts and pulling this together. Met you in a bar in Bayshore, NY prior to your show at the Boulton Theater a few years back. First time I had seen you and it was just a fabulous show!! When this is all over, please consider coming back to play for our area again! Stay healthy and safe!!

Joe sent me :) I mean the guy that wears the suit and glasses. I've been on his e-mail list for years. Great interview, and now it's time to look up your work Mike. I first caught Joe when he was playing the B.B.King 80th Birthday tour, with his power trio. Next thing I know that band is gone and he's off and running. One side trip you guys didn't touch on was "Rock Candy Funk Party" I really dig that, reminds me of Jeff Beck's fusion stuff, or Harvey Mandel. I don't get the hate for Joe B, the guy works his ass off, is an independent artist and has always been respectful to the people who's footprints he's walking in. Joe surrounds himself with top level talent and gives everyone a chance to shine. Oh well their loss. Thanks, Mike.

Love Joe! He's so down to earth and tells it like it is. Thank you for the interview, I wish more people could see Joe this way. The haters have no idea who he truly is. I've been listening to you for a while I love your stuff too.

Mike, I saw you a couple of times with Royal Southern Brotherhood the last time in New Orleans on a New Years Eve opening for Gregg Allman. Love your slide work. Thanks for the interview with Joe Bonamassa. Joe is a straight up guy. I went to engineering school just east of Utica in Troy so understand where he's from. I understand his British influence but wish he would try a little more Duane Allman and Dickey Betts influence or maybe a New Orleans flair. I first saw Joe in Dallas when I decided to go 5 hours before the show and it was a 4 hour drive from West Texas. Wow, I am sure glad I did. I've been to a bunch more shows of his since. He has mixed it up and each has been enjoyable. Mountain TIme, Sloe Gin, Dust Bowl, John Henry and Driving Towards the Daylight are all awesome! Kevin Shirley has been a wonderful manager.

I was considering giving a thumbs down just to be ornery. I enjoyed the interview too much to go through with it.
