The BMX Streets Map Rework is Looking Awesome

The whole landscape on the base map with the trees and bushes make it look so more appealing to ride in the city and even just cruise. I am overly excited but also respect the process. I trust in the creators and developers in this game.

i didnt use the day/night cycle too much but it would be cool if there was a reason to use it like maybe a shop closes at night so the parking lot clears and a new spot is "unlocked" but that would be a lot of work

I started out with Mash Box and bought BMX streets after a few weeks and been putting tons of hours into it. I gotta say I like the physics in Streets much better. Mash box is SO twitchy. I'm super excited to see the map updated but sad the physics are getting changed to Mash Box. Hopefully there will be a way to play the old ones for those of us that like them

I still prefer playing on the original map over most modded maps but it lacks a lot of design / detail so I’m really hyped for the rework, it needs it.

Roartex has made some of best maps in Streets. The Christmas Map of Big Apple Park is one of the coolest looking maps ever. Him and Skurt absolutely killed The Institute of Technology map. I'm not concerned about the day/night cycle as I use the QOL Mod that allows timre change and I can change the time myself. I'm still playing in Experimental and having a blast. The game is so much fun and will continue to get better. Again, Roartex is a BEAST at modding and his OG Apple Oark map is a work of Art. Awesome vid as always Old Potato.

I was excited about day/night at launch. But in reality I’ve played night time 1% of the time, midday 90% of the time, and sunset for the rest.

Session skate sim has a great system for day/night where you can adjust time of day sun angle etc.. mash should check that out for inspiration

That was one of my biggest complaints about streets. The world was too empty between no pedestrians and cars and a ton of empty space in the map.

I'm on a 980ti unfortunately and the game runs fine on lower settings, that I'm ok with, except I still spawn in with a black screen until changing the time so if that could be fixed by a day/night option then I'm all for it.

As cool as day/night cycle is, i rarely found myself using it. it would be a sick bonus to have in the game, but i dont see it as a necessity

So stoked on the update!! Two basic things I still see room for improvement: 1) the hop animation, especially in non-transition riding, it looks like a two-wheel hop rather than a proper bunny hop. 2) When riding transition, the dip towards the landing sometimes looks forced.
