Very happy to hear you loved it. (And very happy to hear you loved Ironwood too - I worked on its solo mode, and the designers named Imperium as one their inspirations for it, fyi). Of course if we were to make more decks, we'd make more common cards too. Everyone will be happy. Yes, the game takes 1-5 plays to click, depending on your previous experience, but that's the price when designing a game that's meant to be replayable 100s of times.😇🖖

Oh, and please don't call the appendix "errata". There are no errors to be fixed, no exceptions to be noted. All cards are super explicit about what they do, the appendix is there when the rules lawyers put on their robes... It is absolutely not necessary to read it before your first play. (It was for Imperium, people didn't like that, we listened.)

Huge Imperium fan. It is really sad to hear that they made all six captains just race through their nation decks and developments. What I think is most appealing about Imperium is how different every nation is. They could never compete in a race through their developments and a few actively try to avoid reshuffles. Sad to hear that you feel they just made it a race.

Great review as always! What I found difficult for these kind of games base on IP, I would only care for Picard character (never listened to anything else, except many strange new worlds). A bit like SW deck building games, I only care about the original movies, so the expansion has ZERO interest for me.
