Personally, I do believe KC was smitten n enamored by WH. KC has made many public statements that would indicate his true feelings. He was at the height of his career at this time, therefore he could've chosen many a starlet to be his leading lady. But, he chose WH and delayed the project a year because of her schedule. Some point to the fact that he was married at the time as a hindrance for anything seriously happening between the two (I dont believe it did). Really? The man had won I believe 8 academy awards for Dances with Wolves. He'd done several highy successful movies such as, The Untouchables, JFK, Robinhood Prince of Theives and others. He was Hollywood's golden boy and was rumored to be a ladies man. From what I remember infidelity was rumored as the reason for his divorce a few years later. So, I don't believe marriage would've been the hinderance. KC stated he "kissed her once for everyone and once for himself." What wife wants to hear that? During an interview KC said, "It was easy to fall in love with Whitney." It wasn't what he said as much as how he said it and the way he looked at her when he said it. IMHO, it was more than just an admiration for his leading lady. It seems KC had deeper feeling than that. Maybe not love as some have suggested but a close 2nd 2 that.
