As much as I love them together I do understand why the writers did this. Ryan was very clear who he was when he and Jane first dated and he was very comfortable with that life. But he also really liked being around Jane and once he saw her get serious with someone else he got selfish. I believe he loves Jane and does care about her but sometimes love really isn't enough and a zebra can't change their stripes. Ryan made a mistake thinking Jane could change him and Jane made the mistake of thinking Ryan had changed for himself and not her. I hate them ending but I feel like this is a relationship that happens so many times in life to women and I'm ready for Jane to find someone that is all in with her not just half way.

So she’s supposedly forgiven him for cheating and been with him all season but her brother kept a secret from her and asked Ryan to let him tell Jane and because he knew and didn’t say anything to her(again because her brother asked) she’s in her feelings again about it. It’s literally the worst plot point of the show and I really wish they’d stop dwelling on it. Either get over it or break up. I want other characters to get screen time over this.

Yes, it’s the past but that feeling of not being able to trust after being lied to and knowing that someone else experienced the passion that was yours, still lingers. Absolutely my thought process the whole season watching this . He was not being completely honest. There is no way he would’ve been that bent out of shape over a kiss! His guilt was eating him alive. I also thought Jane overreacted at first over the kiss but they played it out beautifully on screen because it was her gut instincts messing with Jane something wasn’t right about the whole thing that’s why it was so hard for her to get over it . Women are intuitive we feel things are out of place

I actually think Ryan was a character that showed progress adn growth until the writers decided to trash his whole journey and make him the bad guy he never actually convinced anyone he was. Poor writing can destroy the storyline and this is a clear example of it. In real life, a player can fall in love, why do we keep steriotyping both women and men in TV shows?

The writers wanted Ryan to be a bad-guy and kept using Jane's quotes to convince us Ryan was a player, that he didn't care, that he wasn't worthy it,. HOWEVER, what they wrote into him, what they made him do for her up to the point he cheated on her told us a COMPLETELY different story... every action he took was to help her and give her support. He was there for her SO MANY times, even as a friend, when they were not together anymore. He challanged her... His actions didn't coincide with her constant nagging of the guy... and then, to prove she was right, the writers made him cheat on her when from what we came to know of his character, that would NOT have happened.

Ryan was a player until he met Jane. He really liked her but realized it later and when he cheated or made a drunken mess he went straight to her and showed his regret. He became a real good boyfriend but Jane was so immature. There is nothing and no one perfect in real life!! Only in stories… ugh!!! The way she made Ryan responsible for not telling on her brother?? Really? The peope that wrote this and produced it and everyone responsible for that was really mentally fu*^ ed up 👎

He didn’t want her in the beginning it was only when he saw she was really moving on with Ben and he noticed how good she was for him (inspiring him to write/pushed him to be a better writer) that he wanted her... than when he had her he couldn’t handle it like Jane said when she found out he kissed someone else “you haven’t even been away that long” aka he fell at the first hurdle and then the other one when he said he kissed than another one when he decided to not tell her about the sex part... spineless Ryan needs to grow up before this couple can be in a good place but I don’t see it happening honestly and I hope it stays that way 😳

Finally! I'm sorry but anyone who believed that it was just a kiss was blind. I'm sorry but he was Jane's version of a badboy. Having sex with the girl is more in line with his characters nature. I absolutely agree that they dragged this out and should've said it in the beginning. However! A lot of girls choose to believe the lies and tell themselves the lite version because it's easier. I know a lot of girls like jane, we all do. Girls who do what she did, go against that feeling in their gut that tell them that he slept with someone else. She's not dumb but ignorance is bliss for some people. People have to remember that it's hard to fully forgive someone when the trust is broken and when your intuition is telling you that something is off. You can ignore those things but they just get louder.

Yeah, I don't understand how *ANYONE* could think that he only kissed that girl on the book tour. I bought it for like a second. But as soon as he kept going on about how she shouldn't forgive him so easily for a *SIMPLE KISS* I knew it was more than just a kiss. There's no reason why he should have been that hung up on her forgiving him for something like that. He had to have slept with her. And people were giving me the side eye cause I peeped it all before they did. Now I feel like there's something even more to it than just him having sex with her. I say that because if you remember several episodes back, he tracked Jane down at the sex club and he was trying to tell her something but she interrupted him and they had sex. I feel like the girl he had sex with got pregnant.

I have to go with the scriptwriters there. I mean there was never a real honest conversation between both of them, except of the beginning, where they had this friends+ thing. And I get both sides. Ryan cheated because there was already something wrong in their relationship. But instead of talking it out, he chose the simple way with cheating and lying. Life with Jane is complicated, she is an incredible smart young woman but it is always about her. It's her job, her brca test, her complications, her friends and it is never about Ryan. He wanted something easy for once, I think. And he took the easy way out.

I love this show but I’m sick of The back and forward of Kat & Aden’s and I don’t really like Jane. Jane is my least favorite out of the three. She seems so unsure of herself. Yes, she should’ve broke up with Ryan for cheating but I feel like she expects her relationships to be easy. I don’t see her being in a long term relationship unless the guy is picture perfect 🙄
