Kat Edison is the most empowered, passionate and human character I have ever seen. Likewise that of Adena El-Amin, lesbian and Muslim. Both professional, talented, intelligent and above all human women.

Aaaand they ended up giving massive amounts of screentime to this re-written Richard/Sutton reunion, and shortchanged the Kat/Adena relationship and other supporting characters and relationships we've grown to love... Really wish Freeform had changed showrunners, committed to fixing the problems of season 4, and kept the show going (or at least gave the final season a 10-ep order). Grateful for what was, but disappointed at what could (should) have been.

I’m really happy that Jane isn’t editor in chief and she is following her dreams and taking am illogical step. I don’t think Kat is really ready to be in chief, but she is way better suited than Jane. I get that Sutton and Richard are a dream, but giving up on having kids is so much more than just initially having a child and raising it, it’s an entire different way of life and I feel like he would resent her for it one day.

Agree about Sutton's ending. I loved how she was ready to let him go. However, with this ending, I like that it was Richard who changed his mind instead of Sutton. It's usually the woman who does that in these shows.

@@juliannewilkinson1943 but let's also not normalise a partner giving up their dream for the other one - Sutton really seemed the most maternal (eg from how she interacted w Olivers daughter) and seemed like she only said no bc she was afraid of being like her mother. Kat or Jane could have taken the "I never want to be a mother" storyline

Overall I enjoyed the finale. It made sense that Kat became Editor in Chief. She was already in the bored meetings when we met her. But of course Jane had to be dramatic as hell in the end. She could have easily did everything she wanted as a traveling editor for Scarlet. I really wish they didnt spend so much time on the Sutton/No baby storyline, like what was the point. Its cool Kate and Adena ended up together they easily are the most compatible BUT the show had kept them away from each other for so long it seemed forced. I really loved the cast on this show. And I cant wait to see what everyone does next.

Lol funny enough I've been thinking about this for weeks and was JUST talking about how that could be such a perfect spinoff, even more so now that i just finish watching the finale! Hope it happens, they have the fanbase. Maybe Netflix could be the next stop. I really hope they shop around the show 🤞🏽

Spoilers: I hate that ending on so many levels. So Richard must just sacrifice having a family to be with her. WTF....

Totally agree ! I love Richard and Sutton but nobody should make the sacrifice to have kids or to don't have kid. It seems a pretty big deal for Richard and I don't see Sutton change her mind any time soon. The breakup could have been handled better to avoid this sense of injustice but it is a big NO

@@wkadalie I don't have this feeling. People that I have seen seems pretty upset by the fact that Sutton in the end don't want to have kids. But we don't need to search for one to blame. The only people we need to blame are the writers and freeform to cut short the last season

To not have them a abrupt end (even if it's realistic in real life) With more episode to deal with the subject, maybe (maybe) people who ship Sutton and Richard would see and accept that they can't be a couple. Consequently writers wouldn't have changed there mind afraid of the blacklash

I didn’t like Jane’s ending, felt like it’s too cliche, too similar to Ugly Betty’s ending. Jane has had a double mastectomy, that was the biggest risk she could take, she already knows who she is and what she wants.
