My recommendation is to go to college, this doesnt always have to be STEM. It can be other degrees to as many degrees have transferable sills which will be good for a pilot. The industry is saturated with pilots and not enough jobs currently in India. This is a good way for separating yourself from your competition since most applicants will have 230+ hours. When you finish your college and do your training, jobs for Pilots will be soaring. Going to college then do your training will make your flight training a lot easier. Also, airlines generally won't hire 18/19 year old to fly their aircrafts. Going to college will make you smart, mature and a better pilot. Due to the demand in the future airlines may offer their own training which seems to be the trend in the West. If you really want to do it after 12th, try to join airline cadet programs as its a guaranteed job after your training though it is very very expensive. Or you may of you want to join the Indian Airforce, insist for some years retire. Then after that a job in the airlines a guarantee since military pilots are the best of all pilots. This too is a great option.
