As an Indian, and as a Christian, I really appreciate the gesture of that moment of prayer/silence in front of Mt. Mary. This is the kind of India I was taught about in school and I'm glad that there still are people like these two. We would light diyas and burst crackers on Diwali, play holi with my hindu friends, visit the puja pandals during durga puja and go for iftar. Our parents never scolded us for for doing all that. Sadly now, I see more and more of division in my country, even among my own community. Very sad.

Completely agree. Born n brought up in mumbai, I still use words like Yeda hai kya, I say Kaanch upar kar na instead of sheesha, cutting chai. But all this bantai bamai, kya bolti public lol cringe. I have seen lot of ppl who move from other states and they try to emulate to fit in. Mumbai is for everyone, no one needs to lose their identity, that's the beauty of mumbai.
