I think our boy mando is hurting after loosing pretty much everything. His son, his ship, and now his clan he grew up with has faught and disowned him. 😢 While Boba has been healing making connections and even family now to fight with. Din is alone and what Boba said before makes even more sense. You can only get so far without a tribe

@@JBWinter I believe that in this series we will see Din go and come back from seeing Grogu but none of the details and in the first episode of season 3 of The Mandalorian we will see those details and then Din will return from helping Boba and Luke will train him to use the Darksword.

Exactly. He’s in a terrible mental place. And I think getting recruited by Fennec was exactly what he needed to remind him that he’s not alone and to give him motivation to keep going and doing what’s right.

I can honestly say this epesode was not what expected and I love it. The dark saber has such history which is still shrouded in mystery. The naboo starfighter is actually my favourite starfighter in star wars and I would want one slightly modified. Mainly the colour to black and chrome. I hope he keeps the fighter and we can all know who is going on that droid cockpit.

They did so many wonderful things with music in this episode. While they were re-building the N-1 Starfighter, there were these little disjointed snippets of Mando's theme, referring to how broken and lonely and without purpose he is without Grogu and having been cast out by his Mandalorian covert. Then when the fighter was completed, a solo cello plays his theme in full, heartbreakingly beautifully, to indicate that he is starting to heal a little bit.

Yes, there is a ton of stuff in The Clone Wars and Rebels that connect to both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett. Honestly, Rebels is the direct sequel to The Clone Wars, and The Mandalorian/TBOBF are the direct sequel of Rebels. The Book of Boba Fett is essentially season 14 of Dave Filoni's ongoing Star Wars story.

I want desperately for Din Djarin to say to the Death Watch peeps that he has nothing to prove to them. That he can uphold Mandalorian ideals while also being a good bounty hunting father to his foundling. After meeting Mandalorian royalty, Mandalorian outsiders like Boba, and the extremity of the Death Watch that he was raised him, surely he realizes that being a "Mandalorian" is more than what one person says it is. What's funny is that all the different groups have different ideas. Death Watch says Bo Katan isn't a Mandalorian cause her helmet is often off but yet puts more credence in Boba because he's the son of a foundling, Bo Katan regard Death Watch as Mandalorians because a lot of them are Mandalorian born but seem to delegitimize Boba because he's the clone son of a foundling that didn't grow up on Mandalore. No one can quite agree... even if all of them are quite similar in very Mandalorian ways.

The robot with two legs that nearly got eaten by the rodent and that was helping with the projections is a BD type droid. We first saw one of those, specifically BD-1 in Jedi Fallen Order, the game that came out a few years ago. BD-1 is the 3rd best droid in all of Star Wars, with only R2-D2 and C3PO above because BD-1 is essential to the Story of that game, not just a cute side character.

I think the reason why Mando was given a royal starfighter instead of a gun ship that can carry passengers / cargo, is that he's no longer a "hunter". He inadvertently stepped into the role of father when he rescued Grogu from the Empire. He may have inadvertently stepped into the role of leader by defeating Moff Gideon and picking up the Darksaber. Now on this mission to regain his place in the covert, Din may inadvertently step into the role of savior of the whole of Mandalor. Having a starfighter will do well in his new role of father / defender.

Din Djarin reeeeally needs to sign up for TSA precheck.... If the Razor Crest was his workvan then the starfighter is his Hyabusa superbike, with NOS. Among all of the fan service nods in this episode, Is one that may have been missed was the reference to the original Superman movie (Clark v Train = Mando v Starliner) If you were wondering where your Boba Fett relevance was in this episode, the Armorer spoke of the prophecy that the mythosaur would rise up and restore the glory of Mandalore.... Now who do we know who uses THAT as their Sigil? Here are some of the physics of lightsabers: 1. lightsaber blades are not weightless they are made of plasma, plasma is a state of matter, matter has mass. 2. Lightsaber blades are not static, the plasma is in motion from the emitter out to its calculated shape and back to the collection ring. Essentially it is a plasma chainsaw constantly in motion at an extreme rate of speed. It is this mass in motion that generates gyroscopic effects very different from a normal or even vibroblade. 3. In addition to the unnatural gyroscopic effect in hand there is also the explosive knockback generated when the lightsaber is actively cutting an object, flash-vaporizing matter in contact with the blade, unskilled wielders will actually bounce the blade rather than follow through for clean cuts. 4. further complicating things is the intense magnetic field used to shape and contain the lightsaber blade, making it difficult to maintain in contact with another blade or resistant/shielded items. Is it can skip, skitter, or even kickback like a chainsaw blade pressed against a steel plate. Another important thing about lightsabers and lightsaber crystals is they do NOT use an optical model and lenses, It is more like the quartz crystals in a radio, "TUNING" the arc of plasma making up the blade to a specific Wavelength (thickness), Amplitude (length), and Frequency (color/pitch) defining its stable shape. A single crystal establishes ls a FIXED shape. Dual crystal arrays allow alteration to EITHER length or thickness. Triple crystal arrays allow alteration of BOTH.

This was just an episode of the Mandalorian and I didn’t even care. It had everything you could want from an episode like this. Din wielding the dark saber, a good scene with his covert and the armorer, and an awesome ship building and flyingng sequence straight out of Mavarik. I find it incredibly endearing that Din is both a mod head and a total flyboy at heart. I have a soft spot for flyboys. I felt so bad for him this episode. It could not have been clearer that he was really hurting without Grogu and feeling lost. And he has this weapon with a huge amount of significance that he doesn’t want, struggles to wield, and doesn’t fully understand. And then his clan, hdll his family, expells him for removing his helmet for a very good reason. My heart aked for him by the end. I think Fennec recruiting him came at the best timse. And the characters in the next episode. Bryce Dallas Howard is a genius! You’re exstatic reactions to everything Din did was literally me. I love him so much!!!

I know most fans are extremely disappointed with how Eps VII-IX turned out, but it does appear that there's an opportunity to make these shows a prequel to those movies in a "Better Call Saul" prequel to "Breaking Bad."
