I can’t imagine Luke and Ashoka ever fighting each other. Ashoka is strong and wise. She’s survived so much more than Luke and is his senior in as far as experience and wisdom. Luke however seems to be stronger in the force much like Anikin. I’m glad that Luke is humble enough to recognize Ashoka’s wisdom and ask her advice, I believe this is the Luke we missed so much. He recognizes that he’s got more to learn, and I’m glad Ashoka and Luke have each other.

Asoka obviously has Luke in experience, but Luke is Anakin's son. His raw connection to the Force is the strongest there is. In a full on battle to the death, Luke wins.

Great reaction, and terrific recap and thoughts! On why Ahsoka was there at all -- it was because R2 called her. R2 knew Din was coming, and that it would be bad for Grogu's training. So he distracted Din with the Jedi "waiting room" to stall for Ahsoka to arrive and properly convince Din not to stay and exacerbate Grogu's attachment. He's a clever one, Artooie. I get the distinct feeling that Luke and Ahsoka already have a deep relationship, because Luke in this episode really seemed like he was looking up to her -- he asked for her advice, he admitted he didn't feel like a teacher to Grogu, he hoped to see her again. I absolutely loved Luke in this episode (and of course Ahsoka with him) because to me it showed he's still in the thick of his own journey, figuring his way as a Jedi master without a council around him to help. And I do think we'll get to rewind and see the beginning of their relationship in Ahsoka's show -- after all, Boba Fett rewound time to before Mandalorian (long before Mandalorian, actually), and we got to see Fennec and Boba meet for the first time AFTER we saw them already together in Mando Chapter 14. So I say look forward to getting to see them talk Anakin for the first time! I felt like this was a proof of concept for a Luke's Academy show -- an incredibly successful, beautiful proof of concept, because I am dying to see that show.

I would love to see more of their relationship in the Ahsoka show similar to how we saw Boba's Tusken story. We definitely need to see this and we need to especially see the moment Luke told her Anakin became good again! That is a much needed convo that needs to be shown! And that would be an awesome show! They are opening up so many doors for various spinoff shows! Can't wait to see what the future holds :)

The first shot of the figure in the desert I said, "What the hell?" I had the same reaction I had when he showed up in Bad Batch. Then I realized he's going to kill someone. And he and Boba Fett know each other. And they're most likely gonna confirm that he gave the dent in Boba's helmet. Which means, Cad Bane is going to have a duel against Boba Fett, the last of the clones. And Fennec Shand especially knows Cad Bane.

I believe Corey Burton (who voiced Cad Bane here and in every other version) based his performance on Lee Van Cleefe who was in many westerns including the iconic 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

From what I remember: Ahsoka decided to leave the Jedi Order some time before Order 66, and she never completed her training as far as I know. You choosing Ahsoka over Luke is understandable, but a little unfair (for Luke). Keep in mind that Luke only began his journey as a Jedi only a few years prior, and wasn't even born when the Clone Wars began. Also, everything that Ahsoka learned for decades, Luke was able to learn it all in just a couple of years. While Ahsoka does seem to be the 'master' and thus more experienced, I think it is Luke who is the most powerful of the two, which is no surprising considering the fact that he is the son of Anakin Skywalker. Personally, I didn't mind we didn't see Boba Fett last episode. While it is called The Book of Boba Fett and The Mandalorian is a different show, I think both shows are meant to tell one complete story, meaning that both shows will get intertwined together as you probably already noticed when you watched this episode. This is why I think we saw Boba Fett in The Mandalorian (as preparation for The Book of Boba Fett) and Din in The Book of Boba Fett (as preparation for The Mandalorian season 3). I think the main story will be concluded in either next week's season/series finale or during The Mandalorian;s third season. And don't worry about Marshall Cobb. He got shot in the shoulder, so he probably survived the showdown with Cad Bane (OMG). His deputy definitely died though. I am wondering what choice Grogu will make. Part of me wants him to be with Mando, but other part of me wants him to continue his Jedi training. If he decides to return to Mando, it may cause Luke to have doubts about himself in becoming a teacher. But we will see...

The only reason I can think of for Favreau to show Luke and Boba now instead of Mando III, is to have them show up in the finale too. So my guess is that Grogu doesn't (exclusively) choose the lightsaber. Luke then takes him to Boba's palace and he gets dragged into the big fight, or at least he learns about the Jedi - Mando Tarre Viszla, making him rethink the choice he laid before Grogu. And remember Mando has an N1 Starfighter with a place for Grogu.

This entire episode was fan service. I'm a fan, and I am serviced, loved it. I don't think Vanth is dead, just wounded. I think all the chaos and attacks are going to put Boba in beast mode. I also think that Luke and Grogu are going to show up on Tatooine, because of Grogu's "choice", and help fight the Pikes, it is Luke's home by the way, and that may help Luke realize that attachment isn't all bad for the Jedi (we know he adopts this philosophy in the future, according to legends, I think) and this may allow Grogu to be both Madalorian and Jedi. All we can do is hope. Great reaction new sub because of it. Peace.

Hey, Jazmin! Guest star-a-palooza this week! Favreau and Filoni pull out all the stops and show the powers that be just how it's done! This is my take on EPISODE 6: Interesting match-up between Ahsoka and Luke, Jazmin. Luke is the O.G. with natural aptitude, Skywalker midichlorians and wartime experience. Ahsoka, even with her formal training and wartime experience, would be outclassed if not for her encounter with the Daughter which left her imbued with PURE Light-side power. Her greatest advantage wouldn't be in combat but in being able to get in Luke's head with her knowledge of Anakin and her personal confidence. I'd say they'd be evenly matched but could actually learn a great deal from each other and make a great team. COBB VANTH played by Timothy Olyphant returns to lay down the law against some Pykes "Deadwood"-style on the outskirts of Mos Pelgo! Din travels to a lush green world. R2-D2 greets him and guides him through bamboo groves! Force-lift fake-out reveals a swarm of ant-like droids laying the stonework for a rustic Jedi temple much like those on Ahch-To from "The Last Jedi". Artoo shuts down to shut Din up while the droids quickly assemble a bamboo bench for their guest. LUKE SKYWALKER and GROGU! Mark Hamill voices an incredible deep fake and body double rendering of Luke that looks scarily real if more "A New Hope"-era than "Return of the Jedi"-era. Grogu's still got a taste for one-eyed frogs but Luke blows the little guy's mind when he force-lifts a buffet's-worth of them from a nearby pond! Love the little Force-hops! Talk of YODA! ORDER 66 from Grogu's POV! Still no revelation as to who saved him... AHSOKA TANO played by Rosario Dawson startles Din from a doze and dissuades him from reuniting with Grogu. Din leaves the Armorer's gift with Ahsoka and departs but not before being sensed by Grogu who poignantly reaches out to his starfighter as it takes off in the distance. TRAINING MONTAGE! The student has become the teacher as Luke echoes Yoda's aphorisms, exercises and wisdom. Jedi training is like a gymnastics class! Lol. Luke breaks out his lightsaber for some sword practice to dazzle Grogu. Using one of those training laser modules that Kenobi employed in "A New Hope", Luke puts Grogu through his hopping paces as the sphere snipes at him. A winded Grogu cheats a bit and shorts out the module. Luke feels Grogu is REMEMBERING more than he is LEARNING. Ahsoka sees ANAKIN in Luke! Swapping Anakin stories is a scene I'd LOVE to see! Ahsoka leaves Din's gift with Luke and departs for her own show or to lend Din a hand? BOBA FETT gets a scene in his own show! Will wonders never cease? Din arrives at Jabba's palace for a strategy session with Fett, Fennec, Krrsantan and the mod squad. Pykes are running rampant as Ithorian Mayor Mok Shaiz is off-world on a "scheduled vacation" according to the major domo who is being bullied into compliance. Din has an idea on where to recruit bodies. En route to Mos Pelgo, Din passes a Jawa Sandcrawler with a KRAYT DRAGON skull strapped to the top! It's gotta be the one they killed on Season 2 of "The Mandalorian". In the Mos Pelgo saloon run by the same Weequay proprietor played by W. Earl Brown, another "Deadwood" alum, Din makes his pitch to Vanth. Vanth is rightfully reluctant to commit civilians to a battle with well-armed gangsters even if there could be a windfall for the town but he promises to put the issue before the community. As Din departs, the hackles go up on the back of Vanth's neck as a stranger with a slouch hat purposefully strides in from the desert. Hey, that's what the title is about! Lol. CAD BANE, the deadly Duro bounty hunter, debuts in live-action voiced by Corey Burton who portrayed the animated iteration from "Clone Wars" and "The Bad Batch"! His gravelly voice offers Vanth a way out if he promises neutrality against the Pykes but it's time for a Sergio Leone showdown! Quicker than a flash, blasters are blazing! Vanth gets clipped and his deputy gets dusted. Bane claims Pelgo for the Pykes! Is Vanth down for good? Two Pykes walk into MADAM GARSA's club with a camtono. Her Twi'lek servers make the customary offer of a helmet polish bribe but they decline and leave abruptly. The breathtaking Jennifer Beals looking more delicious than ever watches them leave with some apprehension before the camtono they left behind EXPLODES destroying the club! No, Jennifer! Say it ain't so! The message is clear: do business with Fett and die! GROGU'S CHOICE! Luke presents Grogu with Din's beskar chainmail gift and Yoda's lightsaber. Foundling or Padawan? Mandalorian or Jedi? Attachment or detachment? What Master Luke fails to see is that there is PRECEDENT for both: TARRE VIZSLA! And Din could certainly use some Jedi training, too, if he's ever going to master the DARKSABER! The big question is how can they possibly wrap up this story in one episode or will it end as a cliffhanger tease for "The Mandalorian" Season 3? Directed by DAVE FILONI and co-written by FILONI & FAVREAU!

Hey oxhine! Great analysis as always! It was a truly epic episode, although I do wish Boba had some more screentime. I like what you were saying about Ahsoka vs Luke! You make some great points! It would be a good match. I just think she has more experience fighting during the Clone Wars and surviving beyond it. I feel she has also fought more of a variety of opponents (Ventress, Mandalorians, Grievous, bounty hunters, Darth Maul, Inquisitors etc.) She was trained by and fought Vader and learned a lot of skills from all the missions as well. I dunno, maybe I'm biased though haha😉 I also wonder where will Ahsoka go! If she's going to help Din, we would see her next episode, if not, then we'd next see her in her series 😁 Lots of questions we have to find the answers to still. Are Cobb and Garsa dead? I think Cobb is still alive but I think Garsa might not be 😔 As far as Grogu, I do feel as though he'll choose Mando. Like you alluded to as well, he kinda is both Mandalorian and Jedi in one. Mandalorian season 3 should be interesting 😁

No one else but you mentions - Ahsoka knows R2 - that was mind blowing to me seeing them both in live action! Ahsoka would be a master over Luke. She had more training/trainers, Clone Wars experience, and she has a confidence in herself that, even in this episode, Luke doesn't have. They don't have to wrap it up this season. This is Star Wars. I'm looking at it as Filoni's live action extension of Clone Wars and Rebels with Favreau's insight as to why Marvel is good at the long game. I'm not mad if Boba doesn't get all the shine. My only thing is I just wish we had seen Boba train to ride the Rancor before the last episode. I think Grogu will choose the saber and Luke will eventually give him the armor.

Yes so true! And yes I agree with your analysis of Ahsoka and Luke. Hopefully Boba gets more screentime next episode! And interesting, I'm honestly not sure what Grogu will choose. I feel he will choose Mando but I think what you said is also very possible ;)

This was a Clone War's fan dream with all those cameos :D if we don't get Todo 360 though we burn the place down! To your question on Luke vs Ahsoka in a duel. Ultimately, I would say Ahsoka too :) Luke has likely a stronger connection to the force but no where NEAR the control/discipline to use it of Ahsoka... Plus, Ahsoka had infinitely more lightsaber practice/training and learning from different styles. Luke swings it like a guy chopping wood.

By far without question Luke Skywalker became the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy immediately after the death of Vader in ROTJ. Perhaps Ashoka is more powerful than Rey if she is still around during or after Star Wars: TROS. I'm so glad to see that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni are fixing what the fans wanted to see in the Force Awakens, Luke's rightful place.

Haha fair enough! Ahsoka is definitely more powerful than Rey though (unless Rey became the most powerful at the end of Rise of Skywalker when all the Jedi were a part of her?). As far as Luke, a lot of people say he is more powerful with the force due to having Anakin's blood in him, but that Ahsoka may be more skilled, which may be accurate. I would both love and hate to see a showdown between the two of them haha

in a lightsaber duel...i think asoka would win, she has more experience and skills with lightsaber in my opinion. But if it comes to the use of the force...luke is more powerful than Asoka, and if luke combines the use of the force with his lightsaber skills...well, in that case asoka would lose. in short, asoka has experience, but luke skywalker is a more complete jedi, also, one must not forget who his father is... luke has the same potential and talent as his father.

I’m hoping that Luke turns up with Grogu during the big fight between the Pykes and Boba’s forces and gets involved. Then Boba has to choose whether to (try to) get payback for what happened in RotJ or move forward

Well Luke was named the strongest Jedi to have ever lived. And if you take into account the EU Luke was able to collapse a black hole with the force and fought a force demi God to a stand still. But im not ragging on ashoka she is undoubtedly strong and wise but Luke is too op.

Why hasn't anyone thought it would be cool for Boba and Luke to meet again years after the events of "Return". Clearly, Grogu's decision will be the reason for Luke to be there. They wouldn't have shown all that instead of showing it in Mando S3 if they weren't driving Luke to be in the finale.

Hope someone (Ahsoka would be great for this) reminds/tells Luke about Tarre Viszla who was both a Mando and a Jedi, no reason Grogu can't be. I'm convinced by the end of the Mandalorian series we're going to see that it wasn't about Din Djarin, it was about Grogu who will be the next Ruler of Mandalore and Jedi.

Wow!!! A Great, Star Wars cast, Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, Mando, Luke Skywalker, Ashoka Tano, Grogu, Cobb Vanth, and Cad Bane. I think Grogu will pick the Light Saber and Mandalorian armor, making him the second to become a Mandalorian-Jedi-Bounty Hunter, thus, bringing the Jedi and Mandalorian Bounty Hunters together, as allies. I don't think Cobb Vanth is dead, just hurt. Ashoka was a big surprise, which was good to see. I thought Luke and Grogu would show up in this epi. 6. Cad Bane is, Wicked Bad Ass in this epi., very intimidating. I think that in the ending epi., of Book of Boba Fett, will show these characters in this epi., 6 do more cliff-hanger, cross overs, & cameos, in their upcoming Star Wars, series. Finally, Ashoka as experienced, wise and knowledgeable as she is in the force, is no match for Luke, especially if we are talking about, Luke from (Legends). He's a Jedi Grand Master, with a plethora of very POWERFUL FORCE, abilities, said to be the Greatest Jedi Master of All Time! (Question?) Where was Grogu in Star Wars Chp., 9 The Rise of Skywalker???

I wonder if Anakin has already spoken to Ahsoka as a Force Ghost. They share a close enough bond so I wouldn't be surprised if he also makes an appearance in her show given Hayden is already onboard for Kenobi.

I realized after a rewatch that the Pykes made a mistake by sending Cad Bane to take out Cobb Vanth....he (Cobb) had already said it wasn't his fight to Djin but Bane said 'whatever Boba is paying, that they'll match it' ...so the Syndicate spying operation has gone awry or other forces at play..! My prediction is that the shooting of Cobb, will now bring not only the Freetown residents into the fight but also the Tusken's that fought alongside them against the Krayt Dragon... they're was a throwaway line spoken in that episode about the the Tusken's protecting the townspeople against common enemies...I knew it would come in to play at some point...this may also drag the female Tusken back to the fight for revenge...we never saw her body..! And lastly...sorry, I'm waffling...I think Grogu unknowingly killed those clone troopers before it went dark and he got rescued...he was very young but may have tapped into the dark side in self protection mode...as for who rescued him...I reckon either R2 or the librarian from EPS 2...! Okay... enough speculation from me... g'night...see ya for next reaction...😉

Between Ahsoka and Luke. He is stronger in the force, but she has battled way more, if we are just sticking to movies. So don't know. Would be interesting 🤔

Ahsoka is far more experienced. Luke is a Skywalker. It would likely start out slowly but don't forget his extreme adaptability. He fought his father once and lost. The next fight he had mastered his father's Form V and was matching his physical strength as well. This doesn't even take into account his Force power. Hell Ahsoka even addressed him as Master Luke. He had completed his Knight training per Yoda and had spent 5 years or so finding Jedi texts and holocrons. I am sure that gave him knowledge of powers and forms that made him a Master. He's not Grandmaster Skywalker but I think he could win even with her experience.

I think Grogu will choose the lightsaber,.....but Yoda's. Force ghost will remind Luke if hiwnh left during his training to help those he felt attachments to (Han and Leia), yet didn't fall to the darkside like Anakin. He (Luke) must trust Grogu to find his path with the Force now. So Luke will give Grogu the chainmill and let him go help Dinn.

I believe Grogu will choose the armor because, as Luke stated, Grogu will outlive Din so he can always train as a Jedi after Din dies. That being said, I believe Din will ultimately go to Mandalore and bathe or drink the Living Waters of Mandalore. The Living Waters will accept Din enabling him to claim he's a true Mandalorian. I also believe that before Din can stop him Grogu will also bathe/drink of the Living Waters and also be accepted as a Mandalorian. This will enable him to become the next Mandalorian Jedi. Now after his Jedi training I don't think Grogu will go after the Dark Saber because that would mean he would have to rule Mandalore for the rest of his life and I can't see that happening.

Ahsoka stood up to Vader so as powerful as Luke is at this time Ahsoka came up fighting people more powerful than him. I think Luke would push Ahsoka to her limits but she would prevail.
