Paul begins by expressing his thankfulness for the faith and love of the Colossian believers. He then goes on to affirm the deity and preeminence of Christ, stating that all things were created by Him and for Him. Paul also emphasizes the reconciling work of Christ, who has made peace through His blood shed on the cross.
