To me as a "baby christian" the book of Esther was inspirational, but it opened me to the idea of fasting to draw closer to the Lord. It inspired me to fast and to lay my burdens to the Lord and let him take control of my life. God Bless!😊

I will pray for you

Also, fasting does very much improve your walk with God. I unintentionally fast as I had anorexia at one point in my life so not eating is sometimes usual for me, but if I am intentionally fasting, I noticed it is better, and I do draw closer from the Lord, and thank you for reminding me to do so as well this week.

It reveals how God takes care of people even when they don't even think about him. God is mentioned basically nowhere in book of Esther and it even ends with Jews instituting Purim to celebrate themselves. Purim isn't instituted by God and it wasn't instituted to celebrate God, but as Jews to celebrate themselves, which is quite the sad end for the story.

It should be noted that the reason Queen Esther said "if I perish, I perish" is because no one could come before the King unsummoned, if they did and he took offense and did not hold out the golden scepter they were executed. Which is why the King reiterated his question at the banquet, he knew that Queen Esther risk her life for more than a mere dinner party.

Good video! Ester was born "for such a time as this" as we all can be if we recognize and fulfill our purpose in life. 'For such a time as this' are very important words. Also, it is important to bring out that she knew the great risk she was taking to appear before the King without being summoned so she asked her people and her handmaidens to fast and pray with her for three days, I think it was, She exercised faith, pray and fasting to help her to accomplish the important and difficult task placed before her.

Esther is a type of the true church/body of Christ. There is the Vashty type: self-centered, rebellious, when the King calls her, she doesn't come to Him because she's too busy doing her own thing, self-important. This is the state of the modern "christian church". Salt that lost its flavor, and will be thrown out to be trodden. Right now, this modern apostate church does not seek to hear Him and obey Him, they covet the power and "gifts" though. It is a "social club", a "political club", they don't know what a prayer closet is. The present body is a sick body, with apraxia! Disconnected from the Brains/Head. Jesus is our Head, we are just the body. We were supposed to receive our daily instruction and direction from Him. We are facing a judgment of God at this time, the wrath of God will be poured, and His judgment begins "at home", with the rebellious church. The Lord will build His true Bride with the Esther type believers, who are willing to deny themselves, crucify their carnality and learn to hear His voice and do what He commands. The judgment of God came upon the people of God, because they turned their backs on Him. He came down personally and they crucify Him. We failed Jesus! We are no better than the jews.The apostate church is even worse because we had the Holy Spirit to guide us, but people decided they don't want to be governed by God. The result is that the world corrupted extremely, and God will have to intervene... This will be "the end" for the apostate church, but it is not the end of the World, the final END. Many scriptures have to be fulfilled for that to happen. The Lord will build His true Church, with people who are 100% committed and submitted to Him, willing to die for Him to live in them. People who will dedicate time to be with Him in His Presence, learning from Him, hearing what He has to say, and ready to obey Him. Ephesians 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

There are a lot of minor editing issues that is holding back this production. Egypt for example is in the West, not the East. It was her refusal, not his refusal. Esther was crowned Xerxes new Queen, not his King. Etc. Also, I think it's important to point out that Xerxes had put himself in a situation where no matter what happened, he'd embarrass himself. If Vashti had come and displayed herself, it would have made a fool out of him. And if she refused to come, as seems entirely proper for her to do both for her reputation as well has his, it would have made a fool out of him. The trouble with the refusal, according to scriptures, is it called into question whether the King was master of his own household. So the King had to do something to try to save face, and Vashti had to go. This is why you shouldn't drink too much wine.
@irishka_zolotse3 жыл бұрын
Vashti should have done as was asked by her husband and king, think abt that, all those ladies, queens and concubines were slaves after entering the palace, even with the most high status from birth, the king was their owner; full of pride, she showed insubordination and was out. Rules are the rules, we sin, we,re out, but Jesus saved us all!!!!!
@preciousrizzabayeng37163 жыл бұрын
I agree. I thought Vashti was a negative character but No, she's a symbol of woman empowerment altho that term probably didn''t exist way back then when women are expected to submit to their husbands 🤷🏼♀️ But I just love Vashti. I actually loved King Xerxes but it's a minus, upon knowing that he divorced his wife just because she refused to dress provocatively and be shown off to pleasure the eyes of many ... You go girl. Someone saying she should still have followed the order because it's her job, well I can't imagine Esther following that exact order 🙄 plus, I still think Xerxes is a good man, just drinking too much wine always have negative effects.
@Star-dj1kw2 жыл бұрын
@@irishka_zolotse I disagree. Vashti had moral boundaries. Just bc someone ‘in authority’ over you demands for a woman to do a seductive dance to show her off to his drunk pals…. nope 👎🏼 Maybe in the Super Patriarchy where women are just property that would be cool 😎 but Jesus treated women like humans. In Acts, Peter said it is better to obey God than man so Vashti took the moral high ground here. Many times doing what is right will cost you. She didn’t placate her drunk husband and it did cost her a crown but if she had gone out there and danced at his demand, Vashti could have been gang raped and THEN Discarded anyway 😢.

@@irishka_zolotse to say no to be sexualized infront of drunk men should not be a sin. we are not suppoused to judge, remember? you can like a story and still see the faults in it, without judging them, but you should use your own sences of what is good and what is not. without working with our own sence we are lost, as you can see when you look in all the versions of belive, since things can be interpreted in different ways it gets dangerous, that is why we should belive in God combined with our own feelings of right and wrong, feelings not what we think. or what someone else said, no matter who. so yes Vashti was treated very wrong, it had a good outcome for Esther, the husband was not a good husband to one and a better to the other. that is it.

there is one more thing i would like to write, Vashti didn`t need to leave, she still could have stayed in her position, since it was a harem, Ester could have had the role of one more wife, he would have liked her the same. so what happend to Vashti, hope that was not Gods doing. i prefer to see God in a better light then that. therefore i am not going to attack anyone who did the right thing, in a sertain context most people don`t seem to see it as that, simply they belive they are standing up for something good by attacking in this case Vashti. i seperate good and bad, and see what God is doing.

It’s included in the Bible because it was manipulated by man. There are many texts that should be in the Bible but are not because it goes against a certain political and religious view to fit a certain agenda of the greedy and powerful elite. That’s why the day of the lord will be a reckoning to humanity.

Garcia : Maybe, however IMO God would not allow anything that we NEED to know to be ommited or altered in His Word, with maybe the exception of the newer Bible "translations" that have been published for "today's" world and special interest groups. Any true believer will be directed by God to a non tainted Bible translation. All Imo. MARANATHA !

On the third day, Esther went to see the king In her Royal robe Though her presence was not requested He would be pleased with her she hoped He was pleased indeed and welcomed her To come closer, to come near He told her that whatever she wished He would grant and wanted to hear She asked that he and Haman would come together with her to dine She did not reveal her request Her request will come in time The king and Haman joined Esther For a banquet on that same day To the king surprise, she did not reveal What she was waiting to say Mistake, she requested that they Would come together for another meal This time on tomorrow Her quest she was surely reveal When Haman left the banquet He was feeling rather good Until he saw Mordecai Wouldn't bow is hayman thought he should Hayman went home to his family For an evening filled with brag He bragged about his family, his wealth Being the banquet stag He went on to tell about the one thing That frustrated and continued to bother Mordecai still will not bow, kneel Nor to him would he pay honor Hey man set up a 75-foot pole As advised by his friends and wife His plan was to go to the king and request This to be how Mordecai will die (By Esther Coleman-Spells) I hope you enjoyed the poem for Esther 5.

excellent point. Vashti was not ‘unsubmissive’. Vashti was obeying God rather than man. Wives who submit to evil 👿 … hmmm. How did that work out for Sapphira?

While I love the story, I do question the vengeance.
@ramonaelrod95783 жыл бұрын
It was part of the culture. Vengeance was practiced often, publicly and in intrigue, throughout history. For an eye opener about this, read the history of England. In today's light some of the events are barbaric.
