Genesis 9:1 and 11 NLT
v. 1 “Then God blessed Noah and his sons and told them, “Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth.”
V. 11 “Yes, I am confirming my covenant with you. Never again will floodwaters kill all living creatures; never again will a flood destroy the earth.”
Biblical truths:
I. Genesis 9:1-17: God’s Covenant with Noah
1. Verse 1: God blesses Noah and his sons, told them to fruitful, multiply and fill the earth
2. Verse 2: God made all animals, birds and fish look with fear and terrors, but God gave human the power to handle them
3. Verse 3: God has given animals for food and also gave herbs, grains vegetables
4. Verse 4: But you must not eat any meat that still has the lifeblood in it
5. Verses 5-6: God made it clear that if anyone kills a person, the person must die. Also, if any wild animals attack a person must die, too. God made the humans in His own image and the blood is life. It is called capital or crime punishment.
6. Verse 7-11: God is confirming His covenant with Noah’s and his sons’ descendants. ‘Never again will floodwater., kill all living creatures: never again will a flood destroy the earth
7. Verses 12-14: God has placed a rainbow in the clouds. It is sign of His covenant with Noah, sons and all living creatures for all the generations to come
8. Verses 15-17: When God sees the rainbow in the clouds, He remembers the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on the earth
Wow! God is so faithful with His promises even today we can see the rainbow in the clouds. Hallelujah! To God be the Glory forever, Amen!!
