This is the Pseudo-Jasherian. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Jasher_(Pseudo-Jasher) Based on Jacob Llive this isn't scripture. 1750s AD I read Anglo-Saxon literature and I've read the Jasherian account. The style of reading or writing the jasher reads like the ancient anglo-saxon epics. So no it isn't scripture. The real book of Jasher is the Jubilees book. This book of Jasher I suspect is based on Jacob's reading of Jubilees and some Midrashes and he meshed them together and fused it with his Anglo-Saxon literature.

This book was also mentioned in the bible Joshua 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.

Please read 2 Samuel 1:18 and Joshua 10:13, in both these Old Testament books the book of Jasher is referenced by name. It is not wise to condemn the work, especially without proper research.

Yes but when they reference jasher, they are meaning a set of rules or laws not a story. I believe there is meat in every text the Lord allows, just gotta spit out the bones. For instance, the ages of methuselah and lamech are contrary to genesis account. Could be a code also. Proverbs 25:2
