Beautiful but sometimes I cannot hear what bookbinder is saying because of loud background music.

I don't know what half of these people are talking about, I'm not even a native English speaker yet I understood everything said here without issue.

Good video, but the music is in places too loud compared to the speaking voice.

Would you say that you are a conservator? Have you done anything that you could tell me about, perhaps a museum level repair or perhaps preservation?

I would have enjoyed it more if the voices didn't have to compete with the music. The video was interesting, but the audio was too low.

Nice movie. Audio could be improved by ducking music under voiceover.

Great video - I’m just starting out re-sewing a Bible from 1850, the paper is so easily torn it’s difficult to sew. I should have added a strip of “Something” to each signature spine to reinforce the spine for sewing ... anyone know what I should have used? Thanks for the video you make it look easier than it actually is 👍🍷🧀

You can use Japanese Rice Paper from any art shop, its very thin but strong and depending on the damage, you may only need to reinforce the middle and last page of each section, too much reinforcing will make the spine of the book too fat - and yes, bookbinding looks easy but its hard to do well...

what kind of glue do you use for bindingbook ?
@gregorymartin64884 жыл бұрын
craft PVA, paste or for the really experienced, animal glue do not use woodworking PVA, it looks the same as craft PVA but the working characteristics are different.

I noticed you use one method of binding for this video, but do you do cord as well instead of just decorative cord for the book? The video is very well done and it is always fun to see more of this trade.
