Ivan Parker and Phil Driscoll wrote the first verse and chorus for Welcome To The Family for Ivan's baptism and acceptance into church membership in the fall of 1972. The song was written in French. The third verse and bridge were written by Ivan Parker when he returned to Sycamore Hills Baptist Church for a concert in December of 2012. That was also written in French. I am uncertain who wrote the second verse but it wasn't either of the original writers.
