It's a locker room problem. Most of the players feel cozy & comfortable with minimal effort being displayed, wandering around like NPC players in a video game. A trade or the firing of upper management should be immanent. Do some salary cap gymnastics like Vegas & try to get back Bertuzzi, Hall, or Hathaway. This team needs an enema.

It's also a 'no talent' problem. Other than Pasternak, who on this team can score? Defense is way overrated. This was supposed to be a bigger, tougher team that would be a playoff team. They had a grand total of NINE hits yesterday. Just as wimpy as ever. Plus, what are they going to trade? Anyone who is any good has a rediculous contract that no team will take on.

Sweeney needs to go ! Lindholm and Zadorov and even Sway are horrible signings. Should have kept Linus and signed better scoring options. Time to clean house and play the kids . Marchy is a crap Captain.

There's a comedy of errors on this team. As soon as they signed Swayman instead of holding firm, I knew they were cooked. I bet that if they used that 8mil on 2 or 3 quality additions to the team, that they would have a better record than they do now, using Korpi as starter and Bussi/DiPietro as back-ups. Sweeney and Monty need to go, both for different reasons at this point. Get a GM in there that can rebuild, because that's what this year is going to be... a rebuild year.

Their talent problem Bergeron Chara Pasta Krejci Rask Marchand Krug That is the Hall of Fame Don Sweeney inherited as not a single one of those players was originally drafted, signed as a UFA or traded for by Don Sweeney All of them were brought to Boston by other Bruins GMs Anyone notice that now that Don Sweeney can’t live off the backs of that elite core that the Bruins high end talent has fallen off a cliff? Not only that, Don Sweeney was also gifted FIVE, 1st round picks and FOUR 2nd round in his first two years as GM between the 2015 & 2016 drafts How’d he do with those draft picks? Five First Round Picks between 2015-2016 Zboril- Unmitigated bust Debrusk- Gone, walked for nothing in return so they could sign the human penalty machine Nikita Zadorov Senyshyn- Unmitigated bust McAvoy- Good player. Not elite. Has been lost on the ice for about a year and half. Not a leader Frederic- An inconsistent, bottom 6 guy that is ghost come the post season who doesn’t fight or hit anyone anymore Those picks were taken at 12, 13, 14 (twice) and 30th. So Bruins homers and Sweneey Apologists, you can’t say Sweeney cocked up those draft picks because they were all at the back end of the first round, when 4 of the 5 were in the Top 14 The Four 2nd round picks between 2015-2016? JFK- Unmitigated bust Lauzon- Given away for nothing in the expansion draft so Sweeney could re-sign Matt Grzelyck who they had to keep benching in the post season Ryan Lindgren- Given away for a 11 games of a concussed Rick Nash and to off set the Belesky contract that NYR took on as part of that deal Brandon Carlo- And up and down guy with a concussion history Homers and Sweeney Apologists, those nine high draft picks were largely wasted and they’re a big reason why the Farm System is trash and the big club roster lacks talent Don Sweeney cannot draft and develop properly and he’s proven that in spades Proof? Problem is that they can't trade, unless he trades picks, again. Any talent they have, and it's few, are getting way overpaid. No team will take on a guy like Macavoy, who makes $7 million but has been playing worse the last two seasons. They have too many of those players and we all know how good Sweeney is at trading picks. Lol

They're not firing him because they know what kind of team that is here. Mostly untalented with no goal scorers. This 'bum' has been a great coach since getting here, to the point where EVERYONE was saying he should have won coach of the year two years ago. The Boston fan mentality is to ALWAYS blame the coach, never the players. Julien won a cup but fans wanted him gone, then Cassidy was a 'bum' who won a cup the very next year, now it's Montgomery's turn. No coach in the league will do anything with these BUMS. Sweeney is SOLELY to blame. No cap space, traded away their picks, no farm system. That's on him, not Montgomery. Educate yourself.

This is THE last channel that should be talking Bruins. They average about 5 minutes a show on hockey, while the Celtics and Patriots get over an hour each. Ive actually timed them. The weekend that they had back to back shutouts, they spent a grand total of 4 minutes and 30 seconds talking anout them. The kicker is that they are the flagship station of the Bruins. Fred keeps saying that as long as they get into the playoffs, he ok with how they are playing. Does he really think that this team will do ANYTHING in the playoffs? They should hire someone who knows about hockey.

This season is beyond saving. They are barely a playoff contender and they sure as hell are not a cup contender. Neely needs to fire Monty and Sweeney. Use an interim coach, hire from within the system. Hire a solid GM that can rebuild and knows how to draft. The best outcome is that they tank this season and get a high draft pick.

That makes no sense. Neely will never fire his friend. He should have been let go when his contract was up but instead, Neely gave him an extension. While Neely is here, Sweeney stay. He needs to be the first one gone but this ownership doesn't give a crap.

Life-long fan here but.........So many years of good teams means no low draft picks. Seriously blown Ullmark trade. Sweeney is always lousy at trades and draft. Nobody EVER in the slot (between the circles right?) always too close to the goalie. Bigger now but not faster or tougher. Lengthy contracts suck, right? This team hardly measures up to the players and teams now being shown on Bruins Characters TV special. Nobody can deke his way in like Marchand used to do. Revolving door of players every year.

I put it all on Monty. He constantly changes the lines. He will even change the line up in the middle of a game. How in the hell can there be any consistency when you don’t know who is playing where. When they were up three games to one over the cats and they end up losing game seven on home ice in overtime. Monty was changing the lines in the middle of that game. And whatever style he wants them to play it is not working at all. Sweeney needs to find a coach that will straighten this team up. I believe they have enough talent to make a run. But when Monty didn’t start sway the first game of the season, then yelled at the captain on the bench in front of the world to see and also benched pasta because he made his typical goofball mistake for an entire third period. Yeah, you think they are happy in the locker room. They are saying to the media all the nice things but when they are having a cold beer after the game at the pub, they are not saying the same shit.

Montgomery did not put this team together, Sweeney and Neely did. Why would anyone keep lines together if they are not producing? Julien used to keep lines together and people criticised him for doing so.
