I’ve lived in Edinburgh for 17 years and my son is now 31, but when i lived in in Lincolnshire ( which he still does) I said to him on his 9th birthday, that I had booked the red arrows as they flew over our bungalow

The irony of my efforts here is that I climbed a hill (twice!) to get a good view of the arrows but in the event they actually flew right over our roof. I’d have been better on a deckchair in the garden!

Oh dear. Maybe try to persuade him to hold on to his application for that NASA job for a while?

We all fear that he is destined to remain at the rank of “space cadet” for the foreseeable future! What about that two stage water rocket though - pretty impressive!
