4:36 I would say this movie is not for everyone, specially who are new to Miyazaki's work. This movie is much less about mahito's story, more of Miyazaki's personal story. Mc himself kinda portrays miyazaki, his grandpa portrays his teacher of animation works,heron represents his confused feelings over studio ghibli, his dad is also like his real dad whom he really conversed much less and he regrets. He put His personal war experiences in this movie. Miyazaki had a trauma of his mother's death and took too long to move which is also the movie's main theme. You really have to watch movies made with Miyazaki's personal experiences like my neighbor totoro, proco rosso, the wind rises(about his father), the kingdom of dreams and madness ,many more.

I live in Canada....i watched this movie on 10 December 2023.....i went to watch movie with my chinese gf ....she really liked the movie but I was like wth is going on in the movie.....i was not able to understand anything....i had the same feelings as you Prarik Borade sir....

Bro Miyazaki 82 year old hein aab woh bhot age ke hein hogaye hein aur woh shayad ek aur movie bana rahe hein kaash woh apna sabse best work apni final movie dein bhai khud soch koi insan 82 ki age mein apne prime walla kaam toh nahi de sakta but i want ki Miyazaki apni final movie kuch kamal kardien aur dikha de kyun woh great hein.
