Doesn't really make sense as an asthma attack. More like an anaphylactic reaction (sever allergy attack). You don't use epi pens for asthma you use an inhaler.

Actually there is two types of Asthma medication that can be injected, using a pen like that, if an attack is extremely severe. So it's not totally incorrect. It's true that it's not normally used and the actual symptoms in this scene aren't fully correct, but the pen is actually correct.

Kevin was actually going into shock. The bruises, red discoloration, must have come from him not getting enough blood through his body. I know for a fact he went into shock, but not completely sure why he started bruising.

From someone with moderate asthma, I will tell you that this is not what an asthma attack is or looks like. To me it just looks like he had a lack of oxygen in the blood. With asthma, you can still breathe, it’s just more difficult because your airways are narrow and stiff, not that there is a lack of oxygen.

That's brittle asthma, probably type 2. Attacks happen quickly and without warning, often ending with a ventilator. The epi-pen would be carried around and very necessary, due to the attacks happening so quickly that there might not be enough time to let the rescue inhaler take effect, (ie inhalers are pretty useless if you can't inhale anymore). Epinephrine buys time and can often lead to a quick enough bronchiole dilation to allow the use of a spacer and rescue inhaler.

The Wacko Green alien the typical use for an epi pen is anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is caused by an immune system response, so is an asthma attack. some asthma attacks can't be treated by an inhaler or nebulizer due to the the severity of the air way collapse so an epi pen can be used as a way to deliver emergency medication without having it administrated through the air way.

Very intense scene. The Writers of this film did a great job, first he saves his life, then the ending throwing gasoline on the kids family is pretty ironic. All because of a woman he slept with. Wow he was sprung in sick, twisted kind of way.

That's why he fixed her garage when he only knew her for 2 minutes,or when he gave her a book that was first addition....Just trying to gain her trust as a good guy. We obviously realised later that he was none of that....but a psychopath,and the whole "Boy next door" image was just a card to disguise himself, so that no one would think he's capable of hurting someone,and even murdered his father and his girlfriend... later he murdered Vicky and also tried to murder Claire's family.
