These snippets don’t come in the order of the film. But the glimpse of PABLO as an artist beams through. It’s become so painful and unbearable to hear this song for me now. Then it becomes visually available? I love this so much it hurts. 💜

This MV honestly is emotionally heavy. There's a lot going on and there's a lot to unpack I don't even know where to begin. True to Pablo's signature, he's not spoon feeding us so there's this story you are trying to understand, analyze and interpret the message and then paired with hard hitting lyrics and haunting voice and music at the same time. This is not for the lazy ones..lol..

Since I watched their shortfilm Ex-mas, I was already convinced that Pablo would have a great future in acting as well. As if he’s not already talented enough musically. Actually, all SB19 members have shown their acting chops in their individual MVs. I’m still hoping for an SB19 film which will feature them all.

❤❤❤ The actor era of Pablo. In that short film, which I was fortunate enough to watch with fellow A'tin, Pablo has no dialogue but he brilliantly expressed the emotions through his face and body language. I am amazed by Pablo's talents. I like the short film, it was deep. And I felt like there was some hints with the SAW because of the apple, which was also featured in their Pagtatag finale concert. ❤❤❤ Hi Lady Hurr dear, this is out of topic. Just want to let you know (in case you weren't informed yet) that one of content creators here in the Phil. (Esbi edits) announced that the Pagtatag documentary will be shown in London. I hope you can watch that with fellow U.K. A'tin or with your Filipino friend. 🥰🥰🥰

Just wanted to share this good summary and interpretation that I've seen about the UNA movie. Most of the scene's of this MV is part of the UNA Short film. ##Summary: In a small fishing town, a tired and wounded man in tattered clothes washed ashore. He panicked when he realized that his sheep headpiece is missing but quickly finds it, much to his relief. His feet led him to the town market where he was ostracized by the people for his unusual appearance and demeanor. It also becomes apparent that he is unable to speak which made it impossible to communicate. Feeling hungry, he approached a fish stall and tried to take a fish. He was called a thief and was chased away. Scared, he wandered around until he met a mute boy and his grandmother. They took him in, treated his wounds, and offered him a warm meal. The grandmother's husband arrived shortly and warned her about a thief lurking in their town. He saw the strange man eating with their grandson. He appeared concerned but stayed quiet, since his wife dismissed his warning. The husband then left to attend a town meeting. Later, the grandmother told the strange man that she understood the sheep headpiece makes him feel safe but he no longer needs it. She then took it off the man's head, which he allowed. As soon as she did this, she started coughing violently and collapsed. It didn’t take long for the strange man to realize that she had died. Distressed, he ran away to the woods and hid in a tiny hut. When the husband returned, he saw his wife’s lifeless body. One of the townspeople noticed the headpiece next to her body. Seeing this, they concluded that the strange man was responsible. News of the grandmother's death spread quickly. A witch hunt ensued, the entire town searched the woods for the strange man. Hearing the townspeople approaching, he fled the hut and hid nearby. The villagers then burned the hut, believing it to be his hiding place. As the hut began to burn, his eyes turned as red as the flames as he watches with fury. The mute boy, seeing all of this, could not take his eyes off the strange man. Interpretations are subjective but for me, I see the sheep as a metaphor for being submissive or conforming to society. Maybe it also allowed him to be seen as feeble and docile. Taking it off revealed the wolf underneath and the courage to freely express who you are or fiercely fighting for your dreams even if it means going against the tide. There is also a sense of anger towards society for being ostracized when he presented himself as a sheep, but then being shunned as well when it was revealed he is also a wolf. Trying to morph into something the world perceives as acceptable, but in the end, you still receive hate no matter what you do. The sheep may also be one's comfort zone, as is the tiny hut where Pablo hid during last part of the film. Maybe the anger stems from the thought that his last refuge was destroyed ? And now there is no returning to his old self. All that's left is to confront your fears and uncertainties. The mute boy is a silent witness to his struggles and eventual metamorphosis. It does appear he is concerned but couldn't say anything or offer help. He stands back and watches from a distance without interfering. While there may be people who support you, in the end, all you truly have is yourself ### There is actually a first and last scene that was not mentioned here in the summary, the very first scene is actually a boy and his father buying an apple in the market and then walking where they passed by an area blocked off for people because of danger. The whole movie is like the father recounting the whole story of Pablo to his son. The last shot of the movie is back to father and son talking where his son asked his father if Pablo is a bad guy.. and I forgot the actual line the father had but the movie is kind of open ended which is open to interpretation. But what I was really getting is from being in pain and anguish Pablo in the end became angry and determined.. which really fits the part where this movie is a prequel to Alon and this movie continues to La Luna. P.S. Sorry for the long post.. just wanted to share the movie plot.. =D

The dad is the mute boy all grown-up, seen in the ending credits. His eyes turned red just like Pablo's. When Pablo explained the song's meaning, he said that the boy and the wolf is the same entity. So that part is what I find intriguing.

I love this so much. I love how you got the essence of this MV. Judged from the start and finally letting your guard down and feeling accepted, then fate tests you and there you are back to where you felt safe, hiding….. I think it didn’t give us the resolved as the una film is a prequel to this song and also it means we will have a continuation of his story. It will unfold as we follow the lore of Pablo’s story through his music. Storytelling at its best. Kudus to Jah and Xi-Anne and the rest of the BTS and casts as this masterpiece are made of these amazing people. Actor Pablo, himaly🥹😭💜🔥

In the short film, when he finally opened up, the old woman suddenly died, apparently suffering from longtime sickness. He panicked and left the headpiece which made people suspect him. The ending of the short film is open ended, like people may expect an Ikalawa (second) installment. Who knows? They really pour in their artistry whenever/wherever they can and they never spoon feed their fans, which I love about them. All praises to the creatives of 1Z.

From what Pablo said in the behind the song, the way I interpret the short film is that the boy is actually Pablo. When his grandmother died, he fled, isolated himself from everyone and wander around the forest. After many yrs away, he went back to where he and the grandma used to live and the image of him as a boy together with him grandma flashed before his eyes...including when his grandma died. That's the reason I think why the boy didn't follow him when he ran away. Him crying under that makeshift shelter is finally acknowledging all the guilt and blames himself of his grandma's death. He fled as a boy bec he couldn't accept (in denial) that the only person who cares and loves him is gone. And the adult Pablo crying towards the end is accepting (no longer in denial) it's not a dream and what he remembered is his reality.
@TDLTDL1005 күн бұрын
That's an interesting interpretation of the film. There's another version that could be inferred from looking at the cast and their roles in the credits. If you'll notice, there's an actor each for Gino (the boy) and for the adult Gino.

I like that it's not cliche and makes us think harder and surprises us. If the Una short film is completely w/o dialogue, then it would be great for a Deaf party. They'll have so much fun watching it. If we want the docu film and short film in our places, we need to contact the theatre/cinema people and show that there's a demand for them. I love when the eyes change colours when the lola (grandma) was trying to 'fix' him up. We need to push Una short film for Cannes Film Festival The make-up and costuming is just chef's kiss!

As always, I loved your reaction. You mentioned something that stood out to me. Pablo is so true to his artistry. He’s not afraid to “ugly cry”, not afraid to be vulnerable for the sake of the art. I’ve watched his interviews regarding the Short Film and MV. I’m speechless how humble he is. I pray that the whole world will discover what a gift he is!!
@TDLTDL1005 күн бұрын
It's only days after the release of the MV that I realized that I had to dissociate my interpretation of this MV's storyline from that of the film. Because the endings implied are different from each other. To me, the film is open-ended while in the MV, he goes back to being the wolf in sheep's clothing (picking up the sheep headpiece in the MV's last scenes and lying on the beach in his tattered clothes at the end) because revealing his true self (the lola removing the headpiece) only brings him pain and tragedy. What I'm mindblown about (aside from the brilliance of the song and the whole concept of this MV and the film) is that 1Z was able to tell different versions of a story using the same footages but selecting specific scenes and rearranging those. They've 'repurposed' the short film into this MV. Truly brilliant.
@SaltyBeach-yn7eg5 күн бұрын
Its a puzzle piece of pablo's lore. Based on the released mvs i think the narrative goes like this in order: the boy who cried wolf then la luna then (maybe presyon - the missing piece) then determinado. It all depends on how many more mvs pablo will release. Im also thinking that the boy here in tbwcw is josue in determinado. Im so consumed in pablo's story-telling. ❤
@yurimaxwell5 күн бұрын
As much as I would love a neatly concluded story, Pablo did say that the Una film is a prequel to the albums. The story will continue through the songs. Now, what I hope for is another music video from the same universe." Maybe that way we get a continuation of the story.

Sorry, I know we're being serious here and you're talking about the artist- Pablo. But I can't help but laugh when you said "he just ran away with it and killed it" at 11:52. Because my brain just immediately whispered, " _the wolf_ did too." 😅 PS: If you didn't already know, the MV are snippets of the short film. And yes, it also left us wanting more.
@mayangener25385 күн бұрын
As others have already mentioned, interestingly these are scenes from the short film but not in order. The film was basically the extended version of this MV. My unpopular take is that I think with this MV it's okay to miss out on the film because it just made us feel the same way: left you wanting more. I honestly think nobody left the cinema immediately because we were secretly expecting a post credit scene. When there was nothing I was like, "That's it?" There was no resolution at the end. I guess that's where Pablo wants us to give our own interpretation of this art. I understand why some casuals were a bit disappointed since they were expecting a cinematic storytelling when they haven't been introduced to the album or the song.

Pablo said in his interview, if he is given the chance, 😊it is not the way how he would have ended it but there is a limitation in the budget. I assume, if money is not the problem, they could have extended the shoot to end it the way he wanted it to be. There was a storm when they shoot it, hence, they have to stop shooting every time it’s raining. Maybe your question might be answered then. Anyway, it is open ended and it is up to us how we would like it to end in our imagination. 😊
