My grade school played this for the whole school in 1956 or 1957 I think and I was spell bound while watching it - it kinda scared me too being that I was only 7 or 8 years old at the time. One thing I thought about while watching it was why don't they just cut it short than dye his hair back to it's original color?

Isn't there a scene in this film where someone hands Peter a cigar? I could SWEAR I remember, but I haven't seen this movie in over twenty years! And I know it's not right, but I couldn't help it; my first thought was: "So THAT'S where one of Dean's most well-known traits came from!"

@@dfangirl72 Kim (1950) immediately comes to mind, as there are several scenes in which he smoked cigars. Dean, who was fourteen at the time, played the title character for the second time in his career. Off the top of my head, the first was The Boy With Green Hair (1948) and the third was Werewolf of Washington (1973). Also, I think The Happy Years (1950) is another example of someone handing Dean’s character a cigar.
