Great band..saw these guys when they supported the RAMONES at the Top Rang in Sheffield in 1980. This is the best video clip of this song on KZbin..thanks for posting.

That must have been a great gig.

@@VincentRE79 It certainly was. First time I ever saw RAMONES,then saw them around November same year at Derby Assembley Rooms. Supported by The Spectres (sure it was Glen Matlock on bass). Oh god I miss the RAMONES.

@@raymondlang Nothing lasts forever, particularly a band like The Ramones. I saw The Boys at the 100 Club in early 2020, they were great. They are a band still worth checking out.

@@VincentRE79 First live band I ever saw was in my village in 1977 /78 THE FLY'S, as they were playing support to John Otway & Wild Willey Barrett!! Changed my life completely to buy a guitar and form a punk band about 2 years later!! Check out The Fly's single Love and a Molotov Cocktail on KZbin.

@@raymondlang That was a good song, did your band get anywhere? The song that got me into Punk was King Rocker by Generation X.

In fact I remember the front cover of their single which was a picture of Charing Cross Hospital in Hammersmith which was a supposedly a gift to the N.H.S. which got into a lot of controversy later on in 1980-81 anyway The Boys single front cover on their single was one of The Boys Jumping out of the window I think it was Kid Reid you know Nipper Reid the Policeman who busted the krays

If they hadn't held back their album because they didn't like the too polished sound they would have been massive . By the time it was ready forbrelease Elvis died and all Emi's pressing plants were devoted to Elvis's records. No one could hear their album, no publicity, everything cancelled. They really would've been a U2 sized success because they were brilliant songwriters

enhh, just another pop band wanna be's. It took a Canadian band (Teenage Head) to make this song fantastic. Even Marky Ramone re=recorded this song with Teenage Head on another album.
