they all fit their roles very well. Everyone thinks about the actors, but the one selecting them for the roles deserves a medal as well. With such strong characters it's a huge gamble and indeed, both Starr and Urban are excellent. Esposito (both of them, but I was thinking of Giancarlo now) has a smaller role, or at least less airtime, but he's on fire too, as usual. I liked shue too, before Homelander turned her eyes and brain into a crisp. Beaver (...with my _flagpin!_), Alonso, Visnjic, Capon, Noble, etc. Even Osmont as Mesmer. All cast and portrayed so well.

Well she may be evil but how one gets to be evil is a different story. No one is born evil, the environment, atmosphere and everything effects people, in small or big way, and end up making them what they are. Also to keep in mind that everyone has good in them in whatever form it is, like how "evil" stormfront when almost dying remembers her family and the happy moment she had with her husband and daughter. I know she is super evil but at the moment of her death(even though she didn't die) I think many people(who understood what she was talking in German) felt sad even if a bit.

A nice thought as she was suffering, even though her life now is so full of hatred. Will that foreshadow how she was originally radicalised in the 30s/40s, to add some human element to her possibly being spirited away by Vought now, and later returning as a true Vader parody? The Darkside of Homelander is implied that its because he has no genuine parents, that hes a lab creation without empathy. Will Stormfront, in labratory conditions, remember visions of being a 'good' mom, for a hopeful future of white supremacy forced on her by nazi scientists?

It adds very little to entertainment like this. That being said, violence, excessive gore and copious amounts of blood work like a charm. Has done wonders for Tarantino as well.

Unbelievably, I had a tinge of sympathy for Homelander in the forest scene. It was his weakest moment. He became the monster he is because what was done to him. At every turn, the seemingly steady foundation he stands upon is destroyed - meaning he must start from scratch yet again. All in one fell swoop, he loses Stormfront, Ryan, and Becca - in the most gutwrenching way - at the hands of his own son. Nevermind the fact he loses to Butcher - with the help from Maeve. Now he must toe the line yet again - burying his emotions deep inside. For how long?

In the comics there is a character that is supposed to be the "wolverine" spoof of The Boys, but in the series that honor definitely goes to Kimiko. With her powers of healing and ferocity, especially in season 1 in the fight with Black Noir. Wolverine was never the strongest hero or even mutant for that matter, but his brutality, perseverance, and healing factor made him one of the deadliest.

Eventually, when he loses it all and becomes full villain Ryan will kill him as he as already proven to be powerful as he is the first natural-born sup and was even able to push homelander over. They were doing it the whole season. They made viewer question: is he the bad guy? They made him walk an edge between good and bad. They showed him as complex character with flaws. Eight episodes just isnt enough. I feel like they crammed way too much information into just 8 hours. That could just be because I want to watch more of it lol, but I honestly didnt feel that way after season 1. I actually had to take a break around mid season bc it just wasnt moving fast enough for me. Now that its an established show and the characters are starting to arc, more elaboration on certain topics could go a long way in explaining "why" without spoiling it, if that makes sense. I would definitely have watched eight 90 min episodes, or twelve 60 min episodes. At eight....it just feels like they flew through the story too fast.

I love the show, but if I have one complaint, that's it. In the comics, the boys are ultra-hardcore with coming up with ways to kill supes. I don't recall specifically how many or how often, but they're constantly offing supes and fucking them up in the comics. We're through two full seasons of the show, and I think they've killed ONE supe (Translucent; the showrunner confirmed Stormfront isn't dead and very likely Black Noir isn't either). We've got random-ass characters like the shaved-head girl piling up a huge bodycount, while The Boys themselves have taken down one supe in two seasons.

They are all bulletproof, invulnerable to lightning and laser beams, done maybe more then others. I reckon A train doesn’t have the same level of invulnerability based on what kimiko did to him, but makes that up with his speed. They said he was the first natural born Supe for a reason.

Maybe when he's grown up, but for now, all we know is that Ryan's laser is a uncontrollable burst that can also kill people in his vicinity, however homelanders laser is a very precise blast that he can control well, as he's had more experience with it. Not to mention the fact that homelander can control the level of heat and intensity of his laser blast, as seen when he warms a bottle of milk using just his laser vision, not penetrating it at all, but then is shown to easily cut people in half, so it wouldn't be a stretch to say that if he really wanted to, he could easily laser stormfront. But tbh we really don't know anything, we'll have to wait until season 3 to actually find out if Ryan's stronger.

That’s not true. Storefront’s skin is exceedingly durable. We saw Homelander use his heat vision, but it definitely wasn’t 100%. Later on, Homelander is upset bcuz Stormfront lied to him about somethin. He is livid, when at that level, though he didn’t use his heat vision. But was upset enough to. Stormfront paused as if to say, don’t kill me. That right there shows Homelander’s heat vision @ 100% would fry Stormfront to death, or permanent injury the way Ryan got her. Also, Stormfront went after Ryan immediately after she got whooped somethin stupid. This would undoubtedly lower her power level to a considerable degree. Still O.P. to average people. But to underdeveloped Super, with unlimited potential, especially enraged. I doubt Stormfront would’ve faired any better, had she been @ 100% against Ryan.
