I'd disagree with a few things. His willingness to kowtow to Vought for the payout was absolutely spineless. Then proceeded to berate his son about not having "the fight in him" Good dad in retrospect but that was pitiful parenting and I'm glad Hughie went through with burning Vought

So id still say hughies dad is good but defs not perfect. Spineless and insensitive with how he responded to hughies gf dying but like arguably a realist. Like if hughies wasnt a main character he wouldnt of even gotten anywhere close to fighting supes.

I also though that the last Tek Knight movie in phase 10 and it’s title looked to be a play on the Dark Knight, another Batman movie. Also, I have my own ‘Theory Time’ with Hugh’s Phasing ability and how it ties back to Hughie’s powers when he took Temp V. In season 3, Hughie’s power was teleportation and I always felt that the power was like an inverse to A-Train’s ability of super speed, showing the two as opposites to each other much like how Butcher had all of Homelander’s powers, showing that the two are halves of the same coin, only Butcher didn’t have flight like Homelander because while Homelander ‘looks down’ upon humans that he thinks are inferior to him, Butcher is on the ground with the people standing up against the Supes. But back to the Campbells, Hugh Sr’s phasing ability is an ability that the Flash can use by vibrating his molecules so fast he phases through objects and people as we saw with Reverse Flash, mainly in the Flash TV show. Meanwhile, Hughie’s teleportation was just basically another version of super speed, going from one place to another super fast like in the blink of an eye. I think Hugh Sr. getting phasing powers was a fun way to tie to Hughie’s powers. I originally wanted to say it was a neat way to show how the powers of the kids can be off shoots of the parents, like Ryan getting Homelander’s powers, but then Zoe became a Resident Evil monster that I am blanking on how it relates to Victoria’s other than just killing people. As for Butcher and his powers, I think the V that he revealed he shot up before to stall or cure him of his tumor did in fact give him his powers back but now it has mutated into a new kind of power that mirrors his anger. I think that work thing is a representation of his anger and when he finally lets it loose like he did to Ezekiel than he loses all sense of self and becomes a monster, sort of like the Hulk more than Venom.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Sage might be trying to protect A-train a little? Because let's be honest, she could've outed him at any time? So this theory doesn't have much of a leg to stand on but I just find it odd that the smartest woman in the world can easily read Homelander the moment he steps foot into her home but can't tell when someone's obviously hiding something and has been for seemingly days. Not only that but (SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4 EPISODE 4 AND 5) She was constantly glancing at him and has some form of "black pride" if u wanna call it that (seeing as though she manipulated Firecracker into getting her butt kicked by starlight). And while she and homelander did give him looks at the end of their scene, they haven't killed him yet. Homelander's look was probably because A-Train didn't listen, but Sage's look seemed more calculated. Like she knows but still is misleading Homelander. Otherwise, why not kill him this episode when she knows full-well that he "ran the V" out of the building. It's just a crackpot theory that I still need to work on, but seriously; am I the only one who thinks she's trying to keep him alive for something?
@kaylaclark3660
@kaylaclark3660 3 ай бұрын
I think her keeping him alive is still in line with the theory. A-Train will continue to cause tension and problems for Vought. She 100% knows that A Train is the leak and that he's no longer interested in the seven. She also gets a kick out of making him sweat. I don't think she sets up Firecracker for "black pride" but simply because FC is rude and racist. FC has already insulted her at least three times and has now threatened her.

Lol. Pointing out that Vaught used a White guy as a Native American for that anti littering campaign from the 70s, but Not pointing out that the Real advertisement from the 70s the "Native American" Aka Chief Iron Eyes Cody was actually Italian is a bit of a mis my guy.

Almost as big as pointing it Vaught's attempt at connecting with Black people but not pointing out it was only white people announcing it and not letting the actual POC speak at all

A-Train is having his life retconned in a bio pic and the kind of advice they write for him is, "run faster than that", might be the most genius line of the series.

Funny note the actor in the Keep America Beautiful claimed to be Native American but was actually Italian so Vaught using a white guy was somewhat historically accurate just not as obvious haha.

In the X-Men Thunderbird died on their second mission. He was brought back in the comics decades later. And, his brother Warpath was brought into the teams after Thunderbird died (featured in the Days Of Future Past movie).

I'm still confused if we are supposed to like Hughie's mom or not Everything about her seems manipulative and she works for Vought, not only that but the actress is kinda bad so it really doesn't help

that hughie scene at the end was brutal....I lost my dad the same exact way, family surrounding him, and having to put him out of his misery with all the morphine as advised by the hospice caregiver. that scene was very traumatic

Loved the Hughie letting go of his dad, seeing Giancarlo again, and Butcher getting the upper hand on Neuman. Hopefully there's some payoff with Frenchie and Starlight's arcs

The Rabbit Butcher releases then stomps on is foreshadowing to what’s happening to Butcher. That thing that pops out of the rabbit has to be something similar to what’s inside Butcher.

I have seen some comments that has kind of blown my mind. Whenever Butcher is talking to kessler, no one else is around. At the end when butcher and kessler has the scientist who's leg he took, the scientist looks to his left as if he's thinking "whos butcher talking to?". Kessler is another imaginary person like becca. I now cant unsee it - EDIT. Just got to the end, and yeah lol

Some things you missed with the chief Apache stuff :3 1. He's a white guy in a headdress which is a reference to old "Native" actors not actually being native. (James Beckwourth, Chief Buffalo Child Long Lance, Grey Owl) 2. The poster is a reference to the 1971 Keep America Beautiful PSA featuring the "Crying Indian" stereotype. (The actor in the PSA himself being italian and not Native) 3. Kemosabe is a term that a character from Lone Ranger, Tonto uses who netoriously has had controveries surrounding the actors playing him not being Native. As a native I thought it was really cool they referenced this :3

I think that Joe Kessler died a few years ago from temp v and the squid thing is contains him and Homelander is going to kill butcher and squid will go into Homelander and it'll be butcher and Homelander in the same body

6:34 it's called dissonance and shows two notes that doesn't fit together like the Homelander scenes.. like trying to connect magnets on the wrong sides.. i often use this in ambient productions, that makes something with people

I like a theory that Jeffrey Morgan character might be a hallucination like Becca since he never interact with other character excpet Butcher plus Samir seems give weird look at Butcher might be because he wonder who he talks to
@vicjames3256

I'd argue that it's not just Kessler that's not real, but also Hughie's mom. Both took Temp V, both are hallucinating. No one has interacted with Hughie's mom either. Maybe it's the same with Compound V for those that shouldn't, as with Hughie's Dad. It feels very much like a Folie a Deux situation, but I could be wrong here. That's my Theory time.

It was very odd that Hughie's mom .... * went into Hughie's jacket the moment he left that room * found a vial of liquid. Realized it was V. * decided to use a vial of this drug on her braindead husband Did she use all of it? In earlier seasons didn't we see that a single vial was enough doses to power up several people?

This was by far my favourite episode this season. It had the most memorable one liners and the ending song was just **chef's kiss**😂 And oh yeah, Jeffery Dean's character is definitely in Butcher's head. That parasite out of the rabbit reminded me of Resident Evil 4.
