I agree that Ryan is Homelander's last tether to humanity, but what happens when Homelander realizes that is what's keeping him "human" wouldn't Homelander then go after Ryan? Then there is also the twisted biblical parody of God sacrificing his only son. I think that Butcher will see Homelander about to kill Ryan, sacrifice himself and in the aftermath Ryan will snap out of it and kill/neutralize Homelander. This season has seen a lot of MM learning how to be a more effective leader, so I think that he is the natural successor to Butcher. Starlight will get her powers back when she stops caring what people think about her and she starts making decisions based on her ethics, and not based who will think she's right or wrong.

I think that's gonna backfire big time. Without really realising it, Homelander is teaching Ryan to punish people he believes to have done bad things. We still don't really know the upper levels of Ryans powers, just they're similar to Homelanders. Given Soldier Boy could neither fly or shoot lazers but his biological son Homelander can, it begs the question what can Ryan do that Homelander cant? What is Ryan, with his outspoken desire to help people who need help, going to do when he finds out his old man is the most evil entity on the planet?

In that scene where Homelander has everyone bash Cameron, if you focus closely, he asks A Train to show his wrath, but in exchange, A Train hesitates. During this scene, Homelander and Sage's exchange reveals or at least hints they know about A Train. They both see A Train as the actual leak, and A Train is hesitant, which confirms any doubt Homelander might have. They both may be playing the longer game and may have planned something terrible for A Train and The Boys.

If you notice the locked eyes of Sage and A-Train after all the blaxploitation pictures Vought was putting out you recognize that she sees how Vought is treating them because of their race and neither of them was cool with it. A lot was said in the look. A-train was like “if you’re so smart, how are you cool with this? Sage recognized it and was genuinely out of sorts. I think she knows A-Train is guilty of the leak but is building individuals around Homelander that can attempt to make a run at him.

I think the hallucination Kessler theory is too on the nose for this show. They started showing us Becca and made it clear that she’s a hallucination, but they didn’t do it too quickly. They revealed her at the same time they revealed Kessler. The differences that most of Kessler scenes are alone with Butcher, whereas Becca just appears regardless of who Butchers around . he’s around other people. I think the misdirect here is that Kessler is a real character. He is a real person, the reason we haven’t seen him interacting with anyone else because he’s not supposed to. He and butcher are on a private investigation that he doesn’t wanna let anyone else know about. It seems like they were setting this up from the beginning they’re showing us Becca being a hallucination and tricking us with a lot of the same tactics as with Kessler. In this episode the ending of Samir looking over and having a confused face stands out to me as the biggest misdirect possible. I don’t think it’s him not SEEING anyone, I think it’s Samir not RECOGNIZING him because he wasn’t with the boys earlier.

I think Butcher's psyche was broken by the Temp V and Compound V cocktail, so Becca is Butcher's humanity talking to him, while Kessler is the soldier in him. Think of all the times Becca showed up, it was when Butcher was going to give up, or was being a dick. Kessler shows up when Butcher is thinking it's time to back off, or not kill all the supes. I also think Sage has been playing Homelander from the beginning. She didn't like Vought, but it didn't feel like she took much convincing to join Homelander. I

Cate is what I’m not hearing anyone discuss yet. She now has two arms after Marie blew up one of her arms in Gen V. Also she can read minds when in close proximity to people. The thing about Big Chief Apache says "Don't Litter, Kemosabe" is that the real life actor who was filmed for that ad was NOT native american. Not even close. He was an italian american, with zero native blood at all. If you want to go down a rabbithole, look him up. He basically "faked it til he maked it" and, IIRC, was given awards and stuff by actual native american indians.

I laughed out loud in the scene where Firecracker walks to the podium in church and the camera gives us a view of her behind. It just looks so fake and padded. I also kind of find it interesting that Victoria Neuman still is a daddy's little girl despite the tough front she puts up.

I can see the Kessler theory but didn’t he give Butcher a dose of the medicine to know out supes in an earlier episode? Given, Ryan never ate the cookies so we don’t know if it even worked I’m just wondering how he was able to get him the medicine if he was a hallucination.

Watching a show with 2 Kiwi leads do an episode where killer sheep go on a rampage and they make a sheep f**king joke is almost perfect trolling. Theres a kiwi movie called Black Sheep where zombie sheep attack a farm amd this felt like a direct reference to it

Also, when the scientist hostage looks at who Butcher is talking to the actor makes sure his eyes never rest/land/focus on anything before looking back to butcher. Definitely an hallucination from the parasite. Do you think they'll continue the Gen V spin off after season 5 of Boys? Just like this world... as horrible as it can make me feel, it's one of the better written super hero... anythings, to exist. Shit even had me like "Wow, homelander might be a good dad after all WTF AM I SAYING!?! He's only showing interest in his kid, not teaching him the right thing" lol

Season 4 is excellent and that last episode hit the feels, but also made me bust a gut laughing. Love how they can balance all these emotions and tones. But Hughie's dad and his pain and dying apart from the V'd up power thanks to full V reminded me of my own dad who passed not too long ago... Still love this effing show. Also, Homelander seeing his son turn further to the dark side was like good, good, Ryan. Give into your rage, your hatred.

Annie’s powers are flickering because she reached a new level before beating the tar out of firecracker and part of her is worried that she will accidentally kill somebody. Ryan is fully aware that his father is trying to manipulate him. They made a point to let us know that he is very intelligent in previous seasons. He knows that if he rejects his father then his father will fly off and kill Butcher but he also is using the opportunity to get stronger and get into his father’s head a little. It won’t be him that kills homelander however because he knows his mother wanted to protect him from becoming like his father. My money is still on the guy in the black noir suit being a homelander clone or possibly being soldier boy. It’s clear from the scenes where he is present with homelander and the other team members that he doesn’t have the same absolute fear of homelander and seems to be actually trolling him a little. If anything he would be the most afraid if he was in fact a low powered performing arts supe he would be terrified of being fried by homelander as they could get anyone to put the suit on and say nothing. I also think homelander dies this season and the final season deals with the power vacuum and Butcher cleaning up loose ends. Firecracker also will die this season as she is low powered and her usefulness in manipulating people is no longer needed as the plan now is subjugation. Sage is going to find out she isn’t quite as smart as she thinks she is as she believes she has been manipulating homelander but he has been using her and I think he will fry her brain down to almost nothing and making sure she gets put on life support so as her brain slowly regenerates she becomes aware that he outsmarted her. He would never concede that any supe was his equal in any way. As a bonus reveal I think we will see that under his suit homelander is scrawny, muscles are built by working them and he has never had to actually work out and if he did there aren’t weights or exercises that would actually be hard enough for him to build muscle. So he will be exposed to the world as not only being a fake hero but being a scrawny one. It won’t be enough for him to be killed when he dies the public must be turned completely against him and the writers will want the audience to feel a weird sympathy as he is humiliated first.
