The Jaguar and Aston Martin classics are beautiful. I'm all for modern tech, light weight materials and performance, but they just don't make cars like that anymore; except now they do!

Of the many cars I have driven, the Bentley is the one I would DESERVE the most speeding tickets in. It's like the Space Shuttle mated with a Spa. You float along in endless comfort and power without a feel of how fast you are actually going, yet in complete control. When you do get pulled over, you are in a Bentley. Not getting out of that one.

I know it’s a long ways from a Bentley but my BMW 5 series e60 550i made me feel the same way. Endless comfort and even doing over 100 felt like you were cruising at 35. I loved that car, hated the relatability. My new x5 is much sportier than I expected and the in-line 6 makes such a great noise. Says it’s only 300hp but feels much faster than that but what a pleasant driving experience.

Amongst the SUVs I’d take the Bentley bentega on a technical level alone, though I think the f-pace and Range Rover have better styling. Still, those vintage car recreations are stunning, and I’m not even into vintage cars.

I'm a Jag fan (and owner) and even I think the XKSS is ugly. If you want pretty, look at a long-nose D-type instead. If you want stunningly beautiful, look at an Aston Martin DBR or DB3S from the same period.

Totally agree with the racing comments, we don't need a computer with aero from NASA we need a big engine, a small car and some sticky tyres. If you want a luxury off-roader... You get a Lexus LX570 (maybe a G- class would work too). If you want a luxury car that could go offroad you get a range rover or cullinan, etc.
