important sidenote to this comeback, since their contracts are running out this december and they have stated that they are not planning to continue to stay with their label IST Entertainment, the Prometheus line gets a different flavour to it. "Defy and Resist" can definitely also be applied to their search for a new label and a new home for their group (all members have said multiple times that they plan to stick together as a group despite probably not being able to keep the name since it's owned by IST)

The reason u r getting SM vibe is bc this song is actually produced by SM producer by Deez (one of sms legend). The choreography is also done by SM’s choreographer Bada Lee and Baek Wooyoung (he is actually the boyzs main choreographer). There is this joke in the fandom that the boyz r sm’s secret bg. Believe it or not SM works a lot with the boyz, like Kenzie another SM’s legend produced a lot of the boyzs song. The one who casted them is the same casting director who casted exo, tvxq, etc. Which for me it explains to why the boyz give sm vibes.
