I +100% agree with the person above that tv is chaotic now and also people are so cruel to each other in today’s tv shows. Reality tv designed to make viewers hate the participants and give them awful mental health is abundant. Feels like there’s a kindness desert 🏜 everywhere. Every new female character is a horrible person in some way because horrible seems to equal = empowered or interesting in writers’ minds. It’s not. I grew up with and loved watching strong funny female characters like Alex Mack, Lisa Simpson, Hermione Granger, Ashley from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the Charmed Girls, Jennifer from Back to the Future, Leela from Futurama, Niobe & Trinity from The Matrix, Pris & Rachel from Bladerunner who were saving the world, not destroying it.

I don't know how they are going to deal with that itching powder. To get it all off, each girl will need to take a full shower. But it is on their pajamas too, so unless they each brought a second pair of pajamas they are going to be in trouble. Alice could wash and dry the pajamas, but that takes 90 minutes--assuming they could all be done in one load--and what will they all wear during that time? And then there is the problem of the sleeping bags full of itching powder ...

I wonder how much Robert Reed balked about this silly sight gag. Surely he'd wonder, how would Mike NOT see a rather large pail propped above the door, and how would the mechanism work if the door was completely closed? Even so, you don't see the pail fall on his head! Still, it was funny to see the flour shake off his head as he's shaking his finger at the boys.
@nassauguy486 ай бұрын
I know that it was hard enough for a Shakespearean trained actor (he attended the prestigious Northwestern University School of Drama AND the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London) to act in a powder puff sitcom, but that pail on the head scene must have really humiliated him!

At 1:17-1:47 (While Jan, Cindy, and the other girls are upstairs itching and washing off the itching powder the boys put in their pajamas, underclothes, and sleeping bags.) MARCIA: My brother Greg is going to regret this! PAULA: It itches, but it’s kind of funny. I like jokes. What about the one we pulled on Mrs. Denton? MARCIA: We? PAULA: Yeah, you drew the picture and I wrote the funny line. You know about the hippo? MARCIA: You did that? PAULA: Yeah, didn’t you think it was funny? MARCIA: Funny?! I got punished for that! PAULA: Punished? You did? MARCIA: I have to stay after school for a whole week now! I almost didn’t have this sleepover because of what you wrote! Although Marcia found out that it was Paula who drew the picture (which had a picture of either George Washington, Mrs. Denton, or a hippopotamus) and wrote the caption "MRS. DENTON? OR A HIPPOPOTAMUS?" (despite the fact that her older brother Greg put itching powder in hers, Jan, Cindy, Paula, and the other girls's pajamas, underclothes, and sleeping bags), she could have taken revenge on Greg later. (That is, even though it was not heard nor a follow-up to this episode. If it was, it would have also been on SEASON 2.) So while she was talking to Paula about the itching powder (as a result of her not being able to have the sleepover because of what Paula wrote), she actually forgot that she was going to give Greg a taste of his own medicine. But she was probably going to do it later (as she was too busy with Paula). I mean, "Marcia found out that it was Paula who got Marcia to stay after school after she drew the picture". And Marcia and Paula both got a taste of their own medicine. Despite finding out that Paula did that, Marcia still would have given Greg a taste of his own medicine after he, Peter, and Bobby put itching powder in hers, Jan, Cindy, and the other girls's pajamas, underclothes, and sleeping bags. (NOTE: Before finding out that Paula wrote the caption on Marcia's picture of George Washington "MRS. DENTON? OR A HIPPOPOTAMUS?", Marcia she said, "My brother Greg is going to regret this!". Indeed that is true. What she meant by that is that she was going to get Greg back.) So the boys got their sisters and Marcia's friends good with the itching powder. That is true. (That is, after Marcia was accused from the picture of George Washington, Mrs. Denton, or a hippopotamus.) And despite talking to Paula about it, she (Marcia) still would've gotten revenge on Greg.
