Bob Reed sure loved those kids. He bought them the super-8 cameras used in this compilation, and also paid for a trip to New York and then London aboard the QE2.

Nowadays you could take the home movies with your smartphone and have high definition. Of course they wouldn't have survived to this day because it is so easy and also tempting to delete it to make more room on your SD card.

I can’t help but smile watching this! My parents were born in 57 & 58, so shows like this always used to be on the TV while growing up. I love how this captures the joy & carefree attitude of the time! Some days I wish I was around to have witnessed it. Thanks for the upload 😊

Maureen McCormick (Marcia) mentinoned in her book that Eve Plumb (Jan) used to enjoy walking around totally naked in front of her and Susan Olsen (Cindy). Her response was "You'll get over it."

Good times. Hard to belive Bob hated being on the show he sure looks like he enjoyed the kids, gave them super 8 cameras and even goofing off a bit for camera.

He did love the kids, he just had so many conflicts with Sherwood and certain storylines.
@anglobostonian2 жыл бұрын
@@KendrickHarrisKenfinity Robert Reed was an old school Shakespeare trained actor who wanted "The Brady Bunch" to be something it wasn't and was NEVER going to be: a serious show with serious issues. Sherwood Schwartz had ZERO intention of making "The Brady Bunch" into anything other than "Gilligan's Island" in a house. That was the problem.

@@emilycantrellofficial7722yeah I don’t blame her for refusing to do the Shirley Temple episode when she was 12. It was written for season 1 but they held it over until the final season. Heard it was super embarrassing for her.

These are super fun! I’m happy the kids could enjoy themselves despite going through puberty and teen drama on the set of a popular sitcom. It’s never easy for any teenager who’s a TV star. Was there a swimming pool for the actors at Paramount studios? Or mostly used for outdoor scenes? They were definitely like a family. And I’m happy they’re still buddies today.

Why does robert reed have to be so complicated with how things went with the show, it turned out a success in my opinion, glad no one took his thoughts into consideration as they were bogus.
@Lunchladydoyle8 ай бұрын
What are you smoking ?? Not only was he not ignored, he was largely responsible for making sure the show had some depth. He rightfully pushed the producers to cover some weighty topics and not to make Mike Brady a joke. He was a serious actor and he made his role as the Mike Brady one of the all time great TV dads. He was smart, capable and the emotional rock that held the Brady family together. His portrayal is a million times better than the incompetent goof balls that pass for male role models on sitcoms today.
@Ms.-PJ-14334 ай бұрын
@@Lunchladydoyle I agree. I was a kid back when 'The Brady Bunch' ran and I really liked that the dad had some authority and wasn't made into a joke, even as a kid. I think his suggestions helped the show.
