When I was a child, I had a similar experience with my beloved Los Angeles Lakers, when I got to go into the locker room before a game and meet Jerry West and Gail Goodrich. And, well, I guess I was reminded of a simpler, more innocent time.

In "Growing Up Brady: I Was a Teenage Greg", Barry Williams wrote that during one take of the driveway scene where Joe is saying goodbye to the Bradys, Florence Henderson (who was nuts about Joe) flung herself into Joe's arms. She pleaded, "Take me with you, Joe! I can't stand this family!" Joe, staying in character, replied, "Sure, Mrs. Brady." and carried her down the driveway.

When Bobby's friends were bragging about their fathers having met superstars, when they asked him if he knew anyone, he could have told them that Don Drysdale was once at their house, and that his father designed the house that he was probably still living in. His friends who were bragging obviously never met any of those superstars themselves, which meant that Bobby was one up on them. At least he would have been telling the truth.
