the brain being a softy for 34 minutes (part one)

So I decided to make a three-part compilation of all the times The Brain showcases his soft side. One of the things that fascinate me about Brain as a character is that, despite being a grumpy megalomaniac, he does deeply care about Pinky and wants to make the world a better place. The scenes included in this part of the compilation are pulled from Animaniacs (1993) and the first two seasons of Pinky and The Brain.

That’s brains character he has lived a sad life he was taken from his family as a baby trained to be helpless with the cheese experiment and he lost his closest friend snowball now his main goal is to take over the world not to punish everyone who ever wronged him but because he wants to make it better he wants to make a world where kindness and equality are things and violence is a thing of the past and he isn’t technically wrong so he isn’t a villan he is a hero with villainous qualities the sad part is that while his goal is noble it’s empty since he never fulfills his goal and what else is there for him besides his goal if he doesn’t.have world domination he has nothing and if he ever does succeed all that will happen is he will probably en sup board and stuck behind a desk like mojo from Powerpuff girls

​@@TheMagnaficentLove how you joined the many backstories we've heard in PATB together. It really help to prove your point. Would be sad if that was what was awaiting Brain if he took over the world though. Especially since in the Halloween special, we know that's what'll happen if he doesn't have Pinky by his side when he finally accomplishes his goal. I guess, in a way, that tells is Pinky is critical to Brain's success. They need each other and, if they do not, life becomes incomplete for the both of them. (See the Halloween special and the episode where Pinky's in a Broadway musical *I think it's called "Broadway Malady").

@@JeannieInABottle1965 thanks you have a great anylasis brain is honestly far better than many other characters written like him rather than wanting to punish people he wants to make things better he has limits like in the smoking episode he probably felt if the went through with it he would be no better than the scientists who experimented on him we gotta wish brain success even if failure is his only option I think deep down some part of him just has too much fun on his evil schemes and doesn’t look closely enough because he’s slightly upset that if he succeeds no more fun plans to take over the world what will he do after and he’s secretly kinda happy when he fails but he doesn’t realize it

That moment was from "Plan Brain From Outer Space", which is season two episode three of the Pinky and The Brain spin-off! Fun fact: the episode was initially a failed pilot for a potential WB cartoon called "Zalgar The Brain-Eater", but it was transferred over to PATB where they reworked the story have more focus on the mice. They even had to redo a lot of ADR work for the episode, and as a result the dialogue didn't always match up with the lip movements. But despite the production issues, it's still a fun episode.
