In this video, I am checking out the EVH 5150 guitar NEW for 2021. Forgive me for taking a while to upload this past month. For the first time ever I have had issues in my fretting hand and wrist which turned out to be carpal tunnel syndrome. To avoid any permanent damage, I have been enduring what has felt impossible - 3 weeks rest aha.

To me, the 5150 feels more like a modern take on a Kramer guitar. Truly, a great piece of gear.

Think that's what they were shooting for. Its incredible how much of the industry was influenced by Eddie. I love it all. EVH, Charvel, Ernie Ball, Kramer and Peavey all have guitars eddie was involved with. Wax dipping pick ups is an industry standard now it seems too. I could go on forever with his influence.. Rip EVH

Dimarzio super distortion came out before Van Halen did. Also most of the 80s bands were all in it together trying to get a record deal. There’s stories of Motley Crue and Van Halen hanging out with Ratt.

Great guitars. I've tried them. Outstanding. I also like the Kramer 84 reissue. Trying to decide between this and that. I would certainly make sure the trem is set flush, as Eddie did, because it contributes both to greater tone transference and tuning stability. You can't beat a flush Floyd. I haven't used a guitar with a Floyd since 1988, but when I do this is how I will set it up. I also dig the D-Tuna thing. Very cool. The pups in the EVH models are also great. Kind of remind me of my favorite pickup of all time, the Duncan Custom. But these Wolfgang pups sound so good I'd leave them.
