Hi Scott. As I stated I bought the 7100. Now with the extra savings, the GenTent Extreme (USA), the Clear Drop-down skirt and the Bottom Storage Skirt. About $250 - Plus a Veterans Discount of 15%, they emailed me back with that offer. Buy a Low profile drain pan, iridium spark plug, 10-30 Full synthetic oil, Genius 1 battery 1a all that will cost me a lot less than the 7250 all for 150 watts more. The 7100, you can put a 20-30-40lb Propane tank to run it and when that’s empty it “AUTOMATICALLY” switches over to Gas(3.6 gallons). Nice run time. I don’t know how long or if the Clean Sine wave will change, im sure it will. Heck on the display it even has an hour meter. The Remote start seems handy. They give you 2 of them. My AiPower came with battery connected already, put oil in it they give you the proper amount, connect the propane, they give you the regulator , turn knob push switch to on, hit Start Button and go at a Very low DB less than 60. Can you tell I like mine. Good luck deciding, whatever one you pick is the right choice for you. C ya. Mike i.

Looks just like the AiPower one... the engine is a little smaller... but it puts out a little more power... and it's 700$ more than I paid for my Costco AiPower 7100. Made in the same plant I'm sure. The NEMA 50a socket is a convenience for RV'ers.

As the specs were shown off the generator decal nobody seems to notice that the specs are for 25°C. That is only 77°F. That is very unimpressive & should be a red flag to anyone.

Gavin, the Inverter genset’s that are produced today will produce just as much if not More than a RV Onan genset. I own a Onan 6500 that I converted to run on propane.

Great video Gavin, thanks for posting and HNY! If possible, I would love to see this inverter paralleled with the Powerhorse please (2 drastically diff inverters). I say this b/c the Genmax, Duromax, and Predator families are all typically coming from the same ODM; hence, are using similar (if not same) inverter subsystems. I believe the Powerhorse is coming from a different ODM; hence, "should" be diff inverter subsystem. I'd love to see if they are truly parallel capable. I know you did this w/ Honda with Genmax 9k but did notice the load sharing was very diff vs. Genmax/Duromax or Genmax/Predator testing. Again, thank you for the great videos and look forward to the next one...

Was curious have you ever considered a more in depth review on these generator comparisons? Something like Project farm does with his tests? great video not sure if you said it... if you don't mind me asking how much and where did you purchase this genny? also do you know if they sell a specific parellel kit for this unit... I want one for the camper hunting work around the farm but would need more amps to use for the house if/when we lose power... we are on a well, have a gas furnace, deep freeze a decent size fridge and maybe just 1 out just to charge phones. Gavin, GM7250iEDC has a floating neutral, if we put a bonded neutral plug into the 120v receptacle, will the 50 amp receptacle be bonded neutral on both legs? I believe the generator just splits that 50 amp into 2 legs of 25 amp each and by ground bonding the neutral via the 120v outlet, both legs of the 50 amp receptacle should both be ground bonded neutral, just wanted to make sure as my RV will not allow power to go into the rv with floating neutral. SCHEMATIC SHOWS ITS A BONDED NEUTRAL, DISREGARD THIS QUESTION.

Hey kevin So you won’t get 15,000w because the 9500 will give you 7600 W and the 7250 get 5500 on propane and 6000 on gas So You’ll get is 13,500 watts on gas.

That’s crazy. This little generator ran the whole RV including both AC units all at the same time with the stove the fridge I just bought a Grand design 311 BHS fifth wheel with two AC units this thing should have no problem running my RV if you can handle running yours with a 50 amp set up. Does this one have Bluetooth?

I would highly recommend you go with the 7250 just to have that little overhead. The extra 1200 W really comes in handy. I also think if you can install soft start on your AC that would really help you.

are you supposed to run 240 for a 50 amp rv? I thought an RV had to be wired for 240 even if 50 amp, otherwise its 120/50 unless your appliances are 240; which I dont think any appliance on an RV is 240

Well you tested it at 5300 Watts, not 6, 000. It's a good test, and as you say a comparative test to the same test on other generator. But you didn't test it and its maximum rated capacity to see if it would actually do that or maintain it . That's basically 88% of its claimed rated capacity ... And the little light on the panel was already showing 100%. Of course little lights aren't that accurate.

You can change your oil before the 20 hrs recommended by the manual, that’s one of the things you don’t really have to do by the book the more Oil changes the quicker you get the metal shavings out of the engine.

Hey Gavin, I finally found this on amazon and pulled the trigger on this generator. I have a problem though and wonder if you have run in to this. When on LPG the thing runs great. But when on gasoline it gets down to 25% gas left and starts surging without a load or with load. Put a little more gas in it runs fine until it gets down to about a gallon left. It only has a 3.6 gallon tank and with a whole gallon left i would think it should run longer without surging. Have you noticed this with any of your tests with this genny ? And would you have any idea how to fix this ? the factory has no help for me after several attempts with their help they have no clue for this issue.

During manufacturing they ran the hose from the tank to dual fuel switch to high above about half the tank so once at that point the fuel wasnt gravitating down to switch. so i cut the hose to allow it to run straight down away to the switch then to carb. works fine and never surged once unitl it ran the gas out.

Oops...it's not 50 Watts😆...Rather it's 50 "Amps" and I know you know that. For watts is "voltage X amps". IE: 240 V x 50 A = 12,000 Watts. For what it's worth❤. Now, if your Generator puts out 50 Amps at 240 volts; it is producing 12,000 Watts. That causes me a question. On your Gen, it says 7250 and I'm thinking that is the Watts. So, dividing 240 Volts into 7250 Watts; says 30.71 amps. NOT 50 Amps. I don't get it. What's going on kind Sir? I'm thinking the manufacturer is playing games; as many do all the time. Sad indeed. Oh Well.😂

Only if you have a Soft Start on the AC , AC units have a Very High Inrush Current to start the compressor 3ton unit can be around 70amps 4ton 100amps after start up the run amps can be as low as 7 amps Look on your AC unit and you see LRA That the amps it will draw at start up Small generators under 20KW can't handle that High Inrush Starting Amps adding a Soft Start will lower the Inrush amps by around 70% and you can use a Smaller Generator ICM-870 makes a nice soft starter unit
