Chassis system, better grip/ergonomics, better sights, better trigger, and better optics mounting system than a Glock for about $400. I’m definitely getting one of these

@@shmoopsIIIforget flux and how overpriced it is. Magpul could do this and they’re in on the aftermarket already. They already said they’ll be releasing a 12 round frame and 17 round frame compatible with this. Why not just a different frame with an integrated brace for this FCI?
@shmoopsIII6 сағат бұрын
@@cosyfoot7867 I agree. Would love to see it from them. I will say in defense of flux, they do get the details right compared to others on the market, getting the optic high enough so it’s not physically awkward to get your eyes in line, the two stage mag release, brace deployment. But I would def like to see magpul get something out that matches at least two of those three for cheaper.

Ok, Kevin - I have to make a correction here. The Rost Martin RM1C is basically an Arex Delta M clone. No Glock parts will swap into it. That said, you definitely know how to make an RM1C holster; got a pair of them (both OWB & IWB), and they fit great. This Ruger/Magpul collab looks smart to me. The chassis frees Magpul to offer grip modules without dealing with FFL issues, and the sight system is really squared away. At the price point it ought to be a big seller.

You are correct. I’m just talking about in terms of look, feel, and what they were trying to do by “ improving “ old designs

I do find the "if glock is perfection why is there a gen 5" and "if glock not perfect why so many clones?" To be an imperfect but slightly amusing dichotomy.

Ruger came up with way to mount Electronic sights to fit many Dot Sights straight on to the frame, NO PLATE ADAPTER! This is something other manufacturers have not done, so this very new and I will suspect others will start to copy in future products. Appears from this review and other’s that have flooded KZbin, this will be a winner for Ruger/Magpul with the RUGER RXM.

Springfield's Echelon model has had a direct-mount slide for optics since it went on sale (last year?).
@MajesktyКүн бұрын
@ Good to know, I have a M&P 2.0 with a Holosun direct to frame sight. However this sight was specific for this pistol only for the direct to frame. However it appears from other videos that Ruger has several holes for mounting using a plug insert then mounting screws. The holes can account for like 15 variations direct to frame. It’s a bit different than other mounting systems. One video did say if their system didn’t work then a plate could be used.
@joerazli326721 сағат бұрын
wrong! Springfield Echelon came out first with direct slide optic mount commercially at least. But way back in the 90s many custom gunsmiths were already doing direct slide optic mount for the USPSA Modified Divison pistols when Docter was the optic of choice.
@leesamuelson20 сағат бұрын
@@joerazli3267 Springfield did not create anything on their own. Ruger already had the PIN system in their LCP max well before the Echelon ever came out. Shadow systems also had the several mounting holes in slide well before the Echelon came out. All Springfield did was combine two ideas from OTHER companies to make their own. hardly innovation. They ripped off two other ideas to make their own. So Ruger already used a pin system well before the Echelon ever dropped.

Another Glock clone. Nothing new. The chassis system is nothing new either. All they did was crank out another Glock Gen 3 clone and made it a chassis modular system. Gun companies might want to explore and make their own chassis modular pistol? Or they should go back and modernize some of their older iconic pistols? Ruger and its P series for example.

@kenandbarbie-b6c4 сағат бұрын
When Glock submitted their handgun for DoD evaluation, it did have a manual safety to meet the requested requirements, but the modularity was nearly non existent. Ruger-Magpul does have much improved modularity right out of the box, just no manual safety. Hmmmmm…
@rKingMike22 сағат бұрын
My issue with the RXM is why not come out with your own pistol instead of a clone? Ruger is a gun manufacturer and the development team should put out a firem unique to Ruger and Magpul.
@muddyrivertactical10 сағат бұрын
I agree to an extent for sure! However the market for these types of pistols is there obviously so they should do good with it
@kenandbarbie-b6c4 сағат бұрын
Do we always reinvent the wheel if the wheel works well? Why does Kimber build all those 1911 clones? They arguably made some improvements that the original manufacturer did not want to do- a part of that is actually listening to your customers. Something Colt & Glock failed to do. So now there is the heat of competition.

I love Ruger, but they are not new to copying other manufacturers firearms. Then again, how many different ways can you make a pistol... only so many

There are enough Glock clones already. We don't need another one. Glock has too many design faults to be practical. I have retired mine as not useable for defense.

That is the point of this model: while the basic architecture is the same, it adds a number of features missing on Glocks - for a much lower price - with the integrity of both Ruger and Magpul.
