My mother passed from cancer I was 23 years old and my brothers were 14 and 15 years old. Told me and my stepdad she wanted a closed casket. She did not look bad during her transition. However, after the sermon he started opening the casket. I gathered my brothers and we went to the limousine and waited for everyone to exit and we went to the cemetery. My brothers never spoke to my stepdad again. I talked to him twice after the funeral. The deceased’s wishes should be honored. I have written everything out to the letter. The braxtons, what you are not seeing, Tracie also didn't leave her sisters or parents in charge of her estate or anything, not even a piece of lint. Despite knowing them longer and being blood, this tells you how she really felt about them. Also, why are the sisters unsolicitedly and negatively inserting themselves into Kevin Sr and his kevin Jr's relationship? As recent as the first episode of the season, it was clear that the sisters were not even talking the son foreal. Now that the cameras are up, they are now all concerned? If Tracie legally willed everything to the son, the father can't do anything anyway. So their concerns makes no sense, outside of trying to paint themselves in a good light. Lastly, preventing the father from being on the show, a show about their reality, while talking about him is mighty suspicious. It's giving, they don't want the father to blow up the spot.

For me, Towanda has always been the villain. Tamar is more loud so she gets the attention, but towanda has always been one you have to watch. We can see from this season how fake she is with pretending to be so close with everyone. Towanda seems like the type to play nice just so she can get the tea of either your life or what tea you have on someone else so she can add it to her library of tea in her head. As for Toni and Tamar, I think the distance got them separated because of all the sister, Toni and Tamar were very close, even in the OG braxton days, but now that Tamar is in ATL, I dont think she sees or talks to toni as much so she had to create her own tribe in ATL. It is quite sad to witness especially since she, towanda and Trina live in the same city, so they could be closer but arent. I remember last December, Tamar posted a congratulatory post for Towanda getting her doctorate and towanda said thank you to everyone but Tamar, so to see on the show Towanda had not spoken to tamar for 7 months(and the show was filming march 2024), its ridiculous.

I lost my husband to cancer this year after 36 years of marriage. "I" was his nurse and caregiver until his last breath. Her husband gave her a Celebration of Life, not a funeral and not a viewing. I did the same. Two things can be right at the same time. This is a "very" sensitive and personal subject. These "sisters" are not close. IMO, this is a money grab. I'll leave it at that.

Here's a different perspective. Kevin Sr had a celebration of life with Kevin Jr being there and speaking. The sister's did the same, a few weeks later on her birthday. I think they got Yolanda Adams to sing. My issue with the Braxton's is because when they left her behind to sign, she had Kevin, her dad and her brother. Kevin had a job, so it wasn't like he had her in an apartment, sharing one car. Kevin took care of her & their family for years. I remember the scene when they came to their 1st house & they behaved like they were in a trap house. Last episode i remember was Kevin, physically holding Traci back from getting to Towanda after the weekend in Napa. My issue is the sisters' hands aren't clean. I can see why Traci left everything to Kevin Jr but notice the lawyer said when he's ready. She gave him control of her NIL but the sister's needed it to make this show. So thats why they are cozing up to Kevin Jr to be able to use Traci for this show. I mean no funeral but showing videos of her in her diminished state? I also remember Towanda starting that fake rumor about Kevin having an outside baby. Traci debunked it, but for her sister to do that means she has no regard for her sister or her husband. I feel Traci wouldnt want her son front & center of this show. She wanted them to continue but not at her son's expense, especially when their children are protected from public scrutiny. I understand why Kevin Sr is angry because he knows they are using him and he's trying to protect his son but Kevin's whole, I was born into line seems so forced because he has his father's name so it seems manipulative that now he's so I'm a Braxton. It feels like Towanda & Trina was behind it.

I hope someone gives Kevin Sr. a platform to tell his side of the story. Just like they don’t like him I’m sure the feeling is mutual. They have so much to say about what he did. I totally agree with you totally on the Braxtons. Sadly ppl always get touchy about death and weddings, how the event goes and ESP the MONEY. When wills are read…is what it is, gd, bad, or indiff…which is why wills are so important. It’s the deceased’s wishes, even when they cudnt/wudnt verbalize it while they were alive🤷🏽‍♀️.
