I was there and the energy was next level vibes. Also We ASKED HIM TO SING IT MULTIPLE TIMES. A Latino gang member walking in front of me turned around, shook my hand and said "I Love LA, Happy Juneteenth my sister" and asked for a hug. Y'all don't understand the history of the black and brown tensions in LA and what that moment meant to me as someone who used to do gang stop the violence activism as a teen.

Kendrick performance was impressive af. No back track, breath control, clear pronunciation and didn’t take sip of water 😂🔥 especially them records w/ that kind of cadence is insane. Yall saying is whack just young af, because 99% of rappers don’t even have the breath control when comes to performing live.

Why are newer rappers so bad at it? I have noticed this when I go to festivals, that the young rappers are bad performers. Other genres newbies do decently with breath control, and they are singing.

THANK YOU! It is not about Drake, it is about people who exploit Black American culture and hood culture that was the foundation of rap, who are not actually about that life, not only are they not about that life, they take from the culture while also turning around to shit on it. Drake is just a famous representation of that, but in reality the entire thing is about cultural exploitation and appropriation and everyone that participates in it. You got asain people who will dress hood, sing rap music, then turn around and hate on Black Americans, it is also true for Africans. It is a big problem, and uniting Black Americans to say they not like us - i.e. they not real deal, is a monumental push back.

Much respect to Dot for what he did yesterday. I’m Mexican from Cali born in the CPT and grew up in gang culture in northern CA. The point of him performing it 6 times plus the walk off was showing the Drake team trying to downplay this track it can’t be done. Over the last few days they tried to claim the song was blown up by paid streams with 30 million views. The money for 30 million made no sense. The LLC listed on the fake receipt doesn’t exist. The format of the receipt wasn’t right. No wonder the guy didn’t want AK to put it up on camera during the stream. AK is definitely compromised because any respectable interviewer would have asked him to explain further why not because the reason he gave make 0 sense

Most of the show was focused on promoting and unifying culture. Gave a huge platform to young artists…paid homage to many that came before him/helped him on his way…the “not like us” portion was simply the “dopamine dump” for all of us who have been on this rollercoaster since we first heard Like That and thought, “is this finally happening?” 5x may have been excessive (the crowd didn’t seem to feel that way) but this may be the first and last time he performs the track. I would actually prefer him to just end with this huge “mic drop.”
