Just visited the Carter House and Carton hospital last week in Franklin. The tours were excellent and informative. It really should be taught in school like the Battle if Gettysburg. My heart still feels sorrow for the tragic events that happened. May the soldiers rest in peace.

This is a powerful video; not just because of the story, but in the way it’s produced. You have two experts in the field of Civil War history, especially concerning the critical story of the Battle of Franklin…these guys are actually working on site to cement the knowledge for all of us! Eric Jacobson, an expert and teacher of the Franklin Battle who is fighting for critical battlefield conservation, and Joseph Ricci, a Civil War historian bringing the idea of studying the importance of the War into a modern age. These guys are people doing such important work! To study the Battle of Franklin and ultimately the Confederate defeat at Nashville, is to understand a major reason for the Union victory in the Civil War, in my opinion.

I would cut the music about a minute in. Hard to focus on what is being said with music in back ground. Need simpler, less busy map to generally show what happened.
